For NBA Live 19, we’re introducing a brand-new feature called The One Court. Your One Court sits at the center of your NBA Live experience and allows players to express themselves in a whole new way. With a full suite of customization options, users can create something truly unique.

Looks pretty deep, and it's great to see that retro logos are in the game. Hopefully they'll be included in LUT as well.

Definitely. It's one of those features that makes a game fun and appealing, a little more engaging.

Court creation would be cool for offline mode as well.

Someday.

Will there be any in game currency be used to purchase the designs? Or they're provided for free?

It really looks great. Only problem is that there are no import custom textures. Hope they add that via patch or next year. Or maybe they are saving that feature for franchise mode. Like how it is in 2K.

I'm guessing it'll be RP (Reward Points) if anything, and they tend to accumulate fairly quickly. They also aren't used for anything except cosmetic items, so you don't have to decide between upgrading your player or getting something like that. From the article, it sounds like they'll also be earned as rewards for levelling up and the like, but that's subject to confirmation.

I feel like this is a step in the right direction in terms of the type of customisation 2K has. Hopefully this can be incorporated into offline editing eventually. It's cool to see all those retro logos they have to offer too.

It's another fun hook, and if it's opened the door for those old logos to be in LUT as well, so much the better. Obviously it'd be nice to have custom image uploads as well, but it's understandable that they didn't have time to incorporate the necessary vetting system on top of everything else they've done. Having played 2K Pro-Am in recent years, I'd also have to admit that not giving gamers carte blanche to upload their own images isn't the worst thing in the world, either.

To be honest some of the courts made with 2K editor were the so called "cancer". These look nice and artistic, in 2K I've seen all black courts with player using all black jerseys to try and maximize their advantage.

Oh yes, there have been a lot of 2K Pro-Am teams whose designs were meant to disorient opponents, obscure the shot meter, and so on. Also, while users were encouraged to adhere to the standard of using white home jerseys and colours for their away jerseys, a lot of people ignored that, leading to confusion if you were unlucky enough to get matched up against someone who had a similar home jersey to your away jersey (or vice versa). It's great to have this kind of customisation in the game, but unfortunately people do abuse the feature.

The home/away designation worked for the most part for NBA Live. The problem was when you'd play a live event and your opponent had colored clothes on

Agreed. Since no one was wearing a uniform anyway, it was arguably less confusing anyway (or perhaps confusing in a different way).
