Somebody got a special pack just for them for playing over 1,000 games, which include the MVP award players. Frankly, I'm not envious of these cards. Calling them overrated would be an understatement.
I guess according to LUT, MVP Durant and Harden are better post players than Hakeem Olajuwon; and Harden is nearly as good as Rodman, Shaq, and Bill Russell at rebounding.
Apparently, these cards can be found in the All-Pro packs. Sad thing is that I've seen people spend more than 100k worth of coins and haven't pulled either player. https://twitter.com/jeffmeller/status/1 ... 9611273218
That's a solid present lineup. Sadly, the All-Star players don't count as the team players in the master challenges, but at least they count as playstyle players.

Okay, that's definitely not worth it lol. With that much gold, I could buy all of the legends, and just grind for the masters. Sure the master players aren't as juiced attributes wise, but imo, the legends are worth more to me, and I can just boost the current players myself when editing a roster.
I've just started on the Playoffs Challenges; better late than never! For the Pro games, I'm just going to go with that starting five and round out the bench with more expendable cards so I don't waste contracts, maybe switching up the lineup every now and again.
I'm looking forward to bringing him back when I start playing with some Legends again. There are only a couple of Legends left that I'd like to get, with Larry Johnson being one of them. I am enjoying playing with the active players though. Big Moments Dirk is quite a good player to have.
Something interesting I just noticed is that if you have Gregg Popovich as your coach in LUT, all of your players will receive minutes, regardless if their rating is mediocre. I tested this by putting Richard Hamilton on the bench during a master challenge, and he played the entirety of the second quarter, and more than half of the fourth, despite his 67 substitution rating. He even managed to be the player of the game at the end.
LUT completed. All challenges and Masters unlocked. I feel satisfied about diving into my first year of Ultimate Team.
Pat over here is more valuable than the MVP players imo. I can simply boost their attributes in the roster editor, but I can't play as the legends outside of LUT.
I was fortunate enough to get Ewing from the legends challenge, as well as picking up David Robinson from the AH. Now, I just about have every legend I want in LUT.
Rockets McGrady isn't a bad catch from the challenge. Sure, he's weaker offensively compared to his Magic counterpart, but he can play better defense to make up for it, and he'll still throw down some good dunks.
If you still have Tatum, and you complete the Horford Playoffs challenge, I think you could qualify for the Larry Bird challenge, since you would have 2 Celtics players, 2 Wing Shooters, and 2 legends.
I've got Tatum, and I've just started on that Challenge, so I should have those qualifying players in due course. I wasn't expecting any more new content to come through, so I'm working on the Playoffs Challenges through the offseason. Obviously I took a break from that to do the Ultimate Legends Challenge.
People still playing this since they will extend the server a bit longer after the 20 and 21 cancellation and 19 was disappointment it was horrible disgusting compared to 18 it had expectations. Who you yall playing on i'm getting it on Xbox SX soon. Hope they will bring it back this fall starting with live 22
I haven't played it a few years now, but I'm glad to hear they haven't shut down the servers just yet. LUT in NBA Live 18 was one of my favourite experiences with NBA Live this past generation.
