Just curious though, why is your frame rate so low? What kind of graphics card do you have?

Let me know if you need help improving that frame rate. You should be able to get better than that, also.. what kind of PC do you have?

oof, I see the problem. Not the strongest CPU.

If you get super motivated and they have a discount, try and pick up Mirillis ACTION video recorder. However, you will get frame drops using it if you are trying to record in higher resolution.

I was going to recommend AMD Gaming Evolved, that's what I use to record my highlights (See my youtube channel in my signature). It doesn't give me any frame drops, and I can record highlights or full games. The highlight feature is nice because after something happens, I can just hit a key on my keyboard and it will record the previous 10, 15, or 30 seconds (Whichever one I choose). That's the setting I use the most. You can't use AMD Gaming Evolved because you have a NVIDIA card.

Do me a favor, download the GEFORCE software (it's free) and see what you can do with that. It may be similar to AMD gaming evolved, you may be able to record highlights with it. I don't have a NVIDIA card so I can't test it out.

FRAPS and OBS seem to have quite a few frame dips when in use, or not be able to attain the resolution the person wants. Im sure you have tried everything to tweak it, but your CPU just isn't that strong.

If you ever upgrade to a decent AMD card, let me know. I can explain how the AMD Gaming Evolved app works, here are a couple videos below that I made using the highlight recording part of it. Again, the best part is: I don't get any drop in FPS.

Try and look for a software that allows you to take highlights, and can allow you to upload them in 1080P. For me, I use Movavi Video Suite to piece together my highlights. I had to pay for it, it was $79.99 (Yeah... a bit much). I'll look to see if I can find a free one that does something similar, I'll let you know if I can find you one. Mirllis Action is $29.99, so a bit better. That one had very slight frame rate drops for me.

Awesome vids Dee, crystal clear and crisp. You're right, it's not a high end pc, one of my older ones, still saving to get a separate one for Ryzen. I have the GeForce experience installed, I'm gonna look into that.

Yeah check it out. I doubt they would let AMD have all those capabilities with gaming evolved and not try to compete with GeForce.

When I export my highlight videos from Movavi Video Suite, they are compressed into an .avi. and yes, if you plan on recording full games in high quality, expect 10-20 GBS atleast.

That's why I prefer the highlight route if you can get it to work. You can take highlights throughout the game and piece them together, taking up a lot less space. I've also realized that the majority of the population doesn't have the attention span to sit through entire quarters or games. That's not an insult either, I don't really enjoy the full game videos, it filled with too much unnecessary stuff. By having highlight videos, it's like the person is watching ESPN highlights of the game (or like the highlights they show at halftime on TNT with Chuck, Kenny, Ernie, and Shaq).

Highlights make it so the human being stays interested, he is seeing something new every 10 seconds or so.

Brian Williams blocked 2 of Mitch Richmond's dunk, the second that could have given the Kings the lead after trailing for 12 points in the 3rd. Malik Sealy and Terry Dehere each scored 31 to carry the offensive attack of the Clippers but it was Loy Vaught that kept the Clippers when Sacramento made it's run. Walt William scored 18 points in the 1st half, firing 4/4 from 3-point line. "I thought we had them, but Brian (Williams) and Loy just kept on crashing the boards and blocking our shots." Walt said. Marciulionis led the bench points as he started the 9-0 run when Clippers pulled away again in the 4th.
