I voted for Kuzma and he's surprisingly in the top 10. I also voted for lillard who probably won't make it. I voted for Simmons who has a good shot of making it. Man, if Simmons didn't get hurt last year, kuzma would be winning ROY

Seeing the way people are voting, maybe the old G-G-F-F-C format isn't as outdated as originally thought.

He's damn good. He can play positions 1-5 in today's game, once he learns to be consistent with his threes it's all over for the league.

Being in a 'small market' team like the Bucks isn't a problem anymore for a player's brand exposure because of social media.

The Greek freak nickname now truly fits him as he is now easily a top 5 player in the league

They're a playoff team! But Davis is definitely deserving.

Embiid already an All star starter? That is quite impressive. Where is benji, and his boy Drummond?

Cousins imho is the most undeserving player in this list. He is averaging 5 turnovers per game. He stifles the offense as a ball stopper and quite a shitty defender with little ground coverage because of lack of effort and awareness.

Kawhi hasn't done much this season so I guess he'll make it as a reserve. CP3 definitely should make the reserve. I guess Westy will make it as well.

I agree. He's developed into a perennial All-Star level talent, but he hasn't been healthy all year, and he's played all of nine games. His numbers actually aren't too bad in those nine games, considering he's only playing about 24 minutes, but they're not All-Star numbers. He'll presumably be in the mix for years to come, but this year, there's no way he'll get the nod (nor should he). He's also out indefinitely right now.

Reserves have been announced. KAT made it and no CP3

No Simmons but his youth seemed to be a factor. He should make it next year. Happy Lillard didn't get snubbed again

And of course Conrad leaked the jerseys

Interesting approach with the jerseys, having the players' team logos on the front. Kind of a mix of previous concepts where players wore their own team jerseys, before returning to East and West jerseys with the logo on the back. I'm not really feeling it, but I will say that it's interesting.

Meanwhile, the dunk contest is shaping up to be a good one. At least, it sounds like it'll be a good field:

Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon will be competing in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest for the third straight year, reports Yahoo! Sports.

The participants are expected to be officially announced next week.

Indiana Pacers guard Victor Oladipo (Gordon’s former teammate), and Mavericks guard Dennis Smith Jr. are also expected to participate, per Yahoo!

Lakers forward Larry Nance Jr. is on the fence.

It is sort of a surprise that Gordon is competing, because the former Wildcat said after the 2017 Dunk Contest that he would not be participating in 2018.

Has a very Spurs/Nets vibe to it. Maybe they could've left the team logo's with color on the front, not sure if it would work but it would be a bit more colorful.

Glad to see Gordon back to see what he can do. It was a shame he was injured last year. I thought he should have won what was one of the best contests of all time. That shit was crazy

Not sure about Nance. he jumps high but I don't see him really doing any tricks. He should have defenders come out for his dunks so he can dunk on them

All-star selections (best part of the all-star game in my opinion) look pretty good! While you could practically make a second all-star team out of guys who didn't make it in the West (CP3, Lou, PG, Booker, Jokic, Singler, etc.), it's hard to argue with the 12 chosen. The East looks good as well, with the only iffy selection being John Wall. (I'd have gone with Drummond or Dragic)

why do we even have east and west selections? why not just pick the players from an overall pool since the east vs west thing is over with?

I guess they're still figuring out how to work with the new format, but I agree. I didn't think East vs. West was the real problem, more the general attitude towards the game, but I'm hoping shaking it up will help stoke interest and competitive fires, and change all that.

CP3 should have made it. Harden and CP3 are proving to be the best backcourt duo ever.

Interesting that LeBron picked Durant, not to mention Kyrie. I'd say he picked the better squad overall, too.
