"Handshakes" TV Spot

I decided not to run it on the main page as it doesn't really tell us anything new about NBA 2K18, but it is a talking point, so I figured I'd post it in the Forum.

It's a fine TV spot and all, but it's stuff like this that makes me wonder whether I'm getting old and out of touch, because it doesn't really increase my hype for the game. I mean, I'm already looking forward to it and I've liked what we've heard and seen during the preview season, but stuff like this doesn't move the needle on my level of excitement/hype.

I think it's a combination of us growing old and washed up, along with being a hardcore gamer as opposed to the more casual, younger demographic. For example, I bet I can go in and ask my students tomorrow if they saw this, and not only will it be 90%+ yes, but they will all agree that it's so cool, and has them hyped for the game. Effin teenagers man.

But yeah, good to know I'm not alone on that one. As you said, we're not really the demographic for these promos anymore.

I think this is made for those casual people not really for hardcore sports fan / gamer.
