I REALLY liked the modern cops & robbers Hardline game, but I don't know why people didn't like it. It's a shame.

I don't really like shooters that take place in the past, but WWI hasn't really been done too much so it does seem interesting. Are horses killable? lol

It looks interesting, most of the first-person shooters I have are Battlefield games. I haven't bought one since Battlefield 3 though.

I got #3 after getting sick of COD and it was a nice, more realistic change. Didn't play 4, but loved Hardline

At least even EA can get it right sometimes, the CoD folks should probably watch and learn.

Wonderful! I actually was able to "sit" on the wing of a bomber without falling off for a good 5 minutes. I picked up Battlefield 4 a little while ago since they gave away DLC for a limited time. Like most games I purchase, I'll give it a month or two where hopefully most goofs are sorted out, especially remembering the horrible launches of Battlefield 4 and The Division.

I actually haven't purchased it yet myself, the Halloween sale from Steam got me. I'll likely buy it sometime soon though. I participated in the beta, and I enjoyed it.

The singleplayer campaign is pretty good as a tutorial for new players for the multiplayer. Other than that... holy crap. Illogical choices left and right, the gameplay time is not something to boast about either.

I have the game for multiplayer of course and that's where the game is very good, I'm enjoying it and have over 30 hours clocked already. Singleplayer was... just weird at times - like special mountaineer unit you were part of in one of the campaigns. So you have to run up a bigass hill and take a fortress. So they put you in pretty much full plate armor and give you heavy machine gun. Or they send you as a plane to destroy AA positions (WHAT?).

Dommy, that doesn't sound promising for a dying breed of weird gamers like myself who buys FPS games for single player campaign mode.

But water is spilled. Got the game off a craigslist. It is on my next playlist after I deal with Arkham Knight.

Never been a fan of single player in fps games. Tedious and seems like you're just moving the guy through the level to get to another cut scene. Same reason why I don't like games like uncharted

Uncharted exists so we can look at the graphics and tell ourselves that gaming isn't going downhill.

I played a lot of Doom, Doom 2, Wolfenstein 3D back in the day. Blake Stone was a bit underrated lol

Yeah I like to play single player campaigns as well, but that wasn't case with Battlefield with the exception of Bad Company series.

I actually agree.

Coming from Counter Strike(1 or source) generation, no online FP shooter has been much fun to me since then. And today's developers treat single player campaign mode as a gravy not as main entree.

Perhaps I should pass on BF1 but stick to playing Fallout 4 which has been quite underwhelming that I haven't touched it since playing first couple hours.

If you want to play the single player, I'd consider the EA/Origin Access 10 hour trial. You should be able to finish the campaign, maybe try some MP and it's for $4 (and you can play other Access games for the rest of the month).
