hmmm... I don't believe this rumour...
Riley and MJ probably just had a coffee and sat there for a bit longer to get ppl to think they were talking bout contracts... the conversation prob went like this:
MJ: Dumbass reporters... think I'm making a comeback...
PR: Yeah- but you'll make more money cause they think ur coming back..
MJ: true that! Plus Shaq will be scared...
PR: That's good cause he's scared that another shooting guard who was great may join him. Bet he's working his ass off in the gym!
MJ: haha... I think so too...
(Both laugh)
PR: So what u gonna do now?
MJ: Play in the veterans league
PR: why? for the 'love' of the game?
MJ: Yeah... for the love of the money thats involved!
as they keep talking us NLSC are hypothesising on whether he's coming back.. my answer: no chance!

Mitch Kupchak would trade him away for a second round pick
Wed Sep 01, 2004 8:44 pm
My answer: No chance!

Pat Riley: I'll trade you byron russel and a 2nd round pick for MJ
Mitch Kupcheck: OK, Deal.
End of conversation

MJ should just leave his carrer were it is. He should put his mind on his sneakers and turning his son into a basketball star

Hehe, I was mocking Sit & other Laker fans Mini, that's usually how they tend to post. Just blind love & anyone that has an even slightly negative comment they don't appreciate they are labelled as haters. I think that's a load of shit. You can't discuss basketball if you're that love-struck/biased. I'm biased, I won't say I'm not, but I don't claim that LA will go all the way nor do I keep on going I have faith, I have faith, I have faith. Saying you have faith implies you think they could, they can't. Have faith all you want, it just seems pretty damn foolish to me.
Most of us know what will happen when the outcome isn't the one the "faith" having people expected. Normal people will throw it in their faces & mock them & they will try to save face by coming off as an arrogant & cocky ass mofo saying "next year we'll be back baby!! I have faith!!! W00t!!!" That's how it's always been with the blind lovers.
Get the fuck out of the clouds and come down to earth, having faith won't make em win.
Making comments such as "We will prove them wrong" is other bullshit. It's because of that cocky/arrogant attitude of "oh, we rox0r, we'z the shiznat" that people throw it in LA fans' faces when things don't go right. It's those blind lovers that give all LA fans a bad name. It's those blind lovers that make other guys tease LA fans when things go amiss.
Bah, what the fuck am I talking about?...."I HAVE DA FAITH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Hey Jackal man? u mocking me?
I can believe in whatever I like... even if it is foolish!
oh yeah- I wouldnt like MJ playing alongside Kobe... and anyway- whys everyone so negative towards me? I already pointed out that MJ is old and wouldnt be coming back to the league. In my opinion- he's not going to come back man.
yeah Jackal... this is the MATRIX. How do u know this bullshit exists? The matrix could just be sending messages to ur brain telling u that Sit is some stupid kid who u really hate. I like Kobe doesnt have any bearing in my post in this thread. You can either shut up or unplug urself.
ENTER THE MATRIX! I'm not Neo- I'm the TWO!

Why thank you Jackal
It's one of the only non-negative comments you've said!

I'd like to see MJ be involved in the NBA in same way.
Sun Sep 05, 2004 1:45 pm
that i can agree with. i still wish he got the bobcats. i would definetly root for them more so than i will now if mj owned them. hopefully he can buy a team in the near future.

Hahah...The funny thing about that is it's probably true. Where the hell did they find this guy?
Anyways, I doubt MJ is coming back. I think the only reason he comes back is because he thinks someone is becoming better than him and he wants to prove the world wrong. That's just a guess but he just has to realise it's time for him to end his career going out with pride and let LeBron and 'Melo show what they can do.

Not much else has been reported since the initial buzz; perhaps more evidence that the story was the product of an MJ sighting and a slow news day.
Mon Sep 06, 2004 8:46 am
come back, mj, please do!!!!
Mon Sep 06, 2004 9:54 am
i hope he doesnt come back, he is tarnishing his legacy, he just needs to buy a NBA team, and run shit from the office

He can't buy a team since no teams are for sale. He tried to buy Milwaukee last year but they were taken off the market as soon as he got close. And then he tried to buy Miami this year but was told they were not for sale. There are teams willing to give him part-ownership though (including Miami) but he doesn't want it. His only involvement in the game of basketball will come as a player since he has zero interest in coaching.
Mon Sep 06, 2004 5:46 pm
He can always start a new team in EUrope... and seeing he's MJ he could get 12 awesome players. Then convince Stern to expand 2 years early to Europe and there- problem solvered!
MJ is a team owner, he's part of the NBA and they can sell tickets!
Mon Sep 06, 2004 5:51 pm
Yes, because he had no problems attracting free agents to Washington, I'm sure players will lineup to play for him in Europe, which happens to be a whole other continent, with different culture. I very much doubt the whole idea of European expansion will ever go through.

Thats awfully unlikely. Plus MJ never liked European players (including Kukoc) cos he considered them soft. And MJ only wants to own a team in the East so he can stay close to home.
