NBA LIVE 08 XBOX 360 vs PC

hi guys. i've been in youtube earlier and i watch some nba live 08 games in xbox 360 and i was amaze. the graphics of nba live 08 in xbox 360 looks like a latest game(nba live 15 or 16). Why is it the graphics and everything is different from nba live 08 pc ??

my theory is that the pc version is easily pirated so that gaming companies dont want to put that much effort into the PC versions of games anymore...

A side by side comparison of player faces and whatnot from NBA Live 16 and NBA Live 08 on 360 will show that they're a lot better in 16, despite all the "PS2 graphics!" claims you'll see. Not to say there aren't issues with NBA Live 16 as there certainly are, but there's a lot of unhelpful hyperbole in the criticism of the aesthetics. But all that aside...

The PC version of NBA Live 08 was a port of the PlayStation 2 version, hence the reason it doesn't have the same graphics and a few other features of the 360/PS3 version. PC basketball gaming is a niche community within a niche community, which produces the lowest sales of all the platforms, so it's not a priority. Even with NBA 2K15 and NBA 2K16 PC being the same as the PS4 and X1 versions, getting all the patches and the like, it doesn't get as much attention or hype as the console versions, because that's where most of the userbase is.

Getting back to NBA Live 08 PC, it simply wasn't the priority platform; nor was the PS2, for that matter. Even though PCs were obviously capable of running 360 ports, it wasn't happening with Live and the next year, they stopped making PC versions altogether. But for those last few years when it did come out on PC, it was still a port of the PS2/Xbox version.
