It's good that they finally added the face scans for rookies but there roster editing is still very poor and insulting.

I was playing against the Lakers and in subs marcelo huertas, nice! I thought, they have added some missing players but when I zoomed in on him it's some random black guy!!!

marcelo huertas is white and a quick Google search could of told them that.

In the same game I was playing as the Sixers (to see the okafor scan) and they added Woods so I subbed him in and they have used the exact generic face for him as they have done with Sampson so you have twins out there with different jersey numbers and I also saw that Grant who is a key member of his team looks like Jason Collins still one year on.

It's just plain lazy on EA's side if you ask me.

So so close EA but yet so so far lol

Also why does the announcer say Nerleans "Noel" wrong.

They said Noel as in the peoples first name and not "No-el" like it's pronounced.

A bit disappointed that they didn't push through a roster update at the very least yesterday, I know it was Christmas eve but other than the release date this is the next big opportunity EA has to get gamers playing nba live 16.

They spend months adding masks to players only to have the player stop wearing them not long after they patch it in, all a while they have the same generic face for so many players around the league.

It's nice to see a stable weekly circle of roster updates! :) There is not everyday like FIFA has yet, but even like Madden. I'm appreciated EA Tiburon: full 'open source' spreadsheets of player attributes, a number of accessories tweaks, minor transactions including. It's fair for fans. Also, I receive live updates on my time zone Thursday's evening before official announce on their Twitter. (Y)

The missing players and lack of face scans, or at least accurate faces made the old fashioned way, is a bit of a letdown though. I do like what they've been doing with the ratings in recent updates, however.

For anyone who's interested, I've posted some thoughts on the ratings in the NBA Live 16 roster updates in this week's Monday Tip-Off, which you can check out here: http://www.nba-live.com/monday-tip-off- ... a-live-16/

Tell me about it. This can't happen in 17 is all I'm saying.

It wouldn't be so bad if they had a place holder face for one player and that one player only but the devs or whoever are so lazy that they use the same face on some teams a few times like the Sixers for instance.

The rosters and the fact that I can't feel happy about using the knicks with the eye sore place holders is the reason why iam not really played live 16 anymore and within know with the trade deadline not far away that will just turn into another mess like last year that takes weeks before the roster is right.

It's definitely a strange situation with the missing players and faces, particularly the faces. At this point, I'm at a loss to explain it.

I haven't played NBA 2k in 2+ yrs, but this thread is just plain depressing. Just like NBA Live had no direct competition on the PC in the early 2000s it quickly became crap, I guess the same thing is happening with 2k. I think it is time to go retro.

Week 11 roster update details: https://www.easports.com/nba-live/news/ ... -update-11

Looks like it was finalised before the trade deadline, so none of those deals are included. Al Horford also hasn't been added to the East All-Stars.

Trade deadline deals are in the game, as of the Week 12 roster. No update to the East All-Stars (Horford in, Bosh inactive), but dunk packages for rookies have been fixed.
