Ten Years of NLSC

This week I got to celebrate being at 2K for 1 year, but yesterday marked my 10th year of being a participating member of the NLSC.

Like most of us there was a good period of lurking before I actually signed up. I remember going to the old site when playing on a damn flight simulator joystick around 2000 and 2001. Thankfully the Street games on PS2 prevented you all from dealing with my street mods back then, but my need for "simulation" street basketball ended in 2005, ten, freaking, years ago.
Nearly everything I've done with basketball video games has ended up here (with the exception being 2KTV, I just didn't feel right making a thread myself). It's all chronicled, from ogling Dahl, making street mods, making tutorials, helping with SUM, making more street mods, learning to reverse engineer files, making even more street mods, helping make other mods, making more street mods, and then not making releasing mods anymore. Throw in making video tutorials, talking on podcasts, doing let's plays, filming myself shirtless for your enjoyment, writing dozens of articles, and general forum stuff.... it's enough to make me surprised that it's only been 10 years.
And like most young adults the last 10 years have brought about a massive amount of change for me. Graduating college, working full-time, going back to college, getting married, having kids, and moving cross-country. The NLSC, basketball, and my wife have been the only constants in my life in the last 10 years.
In long winded sentences, I'm just trying to say thank you. This site has given me amazing friendships with people I should have never met and fostered a hobby that directly changed the course of my family's life.
I hate trying to list everyone (because I will forget people), but off the top of my head direct thank yous to...
Andrew, Leftos, Arcane, Benji, Pdub, Bigh0rt, C0nr4d, Lean, Shadow, Vlad, R4zoR, hokupguy, Hawksphan, Jing, and so so so many others.

Congrats on the milestone, Jon! Miss having you on the Podcast (alright, it's only been a couple of weeks) and a part of the staff, but proud of you for the new gig...congrats on one year of that, too.

The first one was from 2003. The forum went through a period where you had to sign up to access it, so "JaoSming" was my lurker account.
When I joined 10 years ago I was actually "JaoSming11" since I forgot the original password & email that I used for that other account. Once I became regular around here the guys renamed that other account so I could have JaoSming back.
The other accounts are the fun returning-from-banned usernames from fun people
