The game was on too early for me, but I did tape it and I saw the final result. I don't think anything's guaranteed in this year's tournament, but Lithuania is looking pretty good so far.

I watched the game, and Lithuania were very solid on both ends of the floor. They absolutely shot the lights, which they might not do in the future, but you would expect them to shoot reasonably well in most games. Jasikevicius is a gun and they didn't even use him that much with that other guy handling the ball so much forgot his name. He was the leading scorer, he's the guy who blew the 3 free throws in sydney. Stombergas was good too, and then they still have Songaila and the 7'2 cetre with freakishly long arms. They'll be tough to beat. My apologies I should know some of the names (considering I did that patch) but they escape me for now....

Guy who missed two free throws was R.Siskauskas. He's our leader in this tournament. And our center ir E.Zukauskas, very good shot blocker and rebounder..

sounds like duncan and odom are gonna have their hands full.. from whats being posted seems like lithuania is a team dominated with big men.. if i were larry brown i'd probably tweak the starting rotation a little bit and move odom to the three and put jefferson on the bench while having either amare or boozer play the four because they're great crashing the boards.. that and having duncan/odom to help them out would be a great defense to the european big men.. at the same time this would create problems for the other lithuanian players because odom's tall and versatile.. he can post up, drive and shoot..

2 factors will decide the outcome of this game

1. USA shooting good from the floor (i.e make mid range and long range shots)
2. stopping Stombergas. He only needs 1/4 of and inch to launch a shot in your face that will drop over and over again.

driving to the hoop will be hard because Lithuania has BIG guys. Possibly the toughest opponent in the comp.

Lithuania win 94-90

DAMNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

Fun game to watch but why was Odom and Marbury out there down the stretch? I would have put Wade out there (if he was heathly) to put on that one guy who was draining the threes.

this team isn't good, they need the real stars out there to blow out everyone. Too many young ones on the team

Sarunas Jasikevicius vs Jefferson-duel was good, but now i hate that guy..
Sarunas chickenvicius. :x

Nice Win!............... but if USA would send the real players instead ofd these young kid/wannabe allstars; this would not happen.
Just Imagine:
Jason Kidd
Kevin Garnett
Shaq
T-Mac
Kobe
with the two good guys from this team. (Duncan and Lebron)........ throw in a couple of the real defensive players, and maybe 1-2 other 3 point specialist.

NOW THIS A DREAM TEAM
