I really don't know. I hope he will be able to play the whole year. I miss his playing style and he would really make that Orlando team special if he gets back to his old form back in the Detroit days. But even half of the old Grant Hill will really improve this team.

I think after his fourth surgery and sitting out an entire season, he might be able to play more than half the season, perhaps even more than 70 games. I don't think he'll be the Grant Hill that some of us remember though, but as PRoPuLsiOnDJ said if he's not playing up to his old level he should be able to be a good role player, albeit one with a rather large contract.

For Magic...in respect for the Franchise (Not Orlando- I mean Stevie) I hope he plays more than 62 games...

I hope he plays 82 games. He really was a special player

Grant Hill will certainly have to play as a role player. He was one of the best in the NBA in his Pistons days, but let's be realistic. He hasn't played that way in years. I see him being a player like how Penny Hardaway is now. Hardaway was a superstar in his prime, and now he's no more than a role player as injuries has taken it's toll.

Around 50....still put up solid all around #'s but not the same as prime (obviously).

What kind of numbers do you expect to him to put up if he can play more than half the season? I think he'll put up similar numbers to the ones he posted during his brief appearance in the 02/03 season (14.5 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 4.2 apg), perhaps slightly better if he's healthy and not making token 10 minute appearances.

If he's capable of posting around 15 ppg, 7 rpg and 5 apg, should he be starting? I'd say yes. I think if he's healthy he'd be Orlando's best option at small forward, at least for another couple of years.

I think he will get less than that, for how long has he been injured now?
If he gets some decent PT regularly id say 10/5/2.
He was a special player, hope he can at least be half the player he was in the past.

Mon Aug 23, 2004 10:17 pm

He's been injured since 2000, but in his brief appearances he's put up decent numbers considering.

00/01: 13.8 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 6.3 apg (4 games)
01/02: 16.1 ppg, 8.9 rpg, 4.6 apg (14 games)
02/03: 14.5 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 4.2 apg (29 games)

Grant Hill for next season!

12 ppg 5 rpg 5 apg

His scoring will go down due to Cat/Franchise/Howard

Grant Hill said during an interview I see on the Tv that when he comes back if he doesn't play like the Grant Hill of old he will retire. So even if he's healthy but hes not able to do same things he use to and average the same numbers he use to he will probably retire. Im guessing role player statistics like mentioned above probably wont be good enough under Hill's standards.

In my opinion if Grant Hill can return and put up role player numbers I think he deserves to play out the season because of the money and commitment that the Magic Franchise has shown him. Plus, if Grant Hill is putting up decent numbers beside Francis, Mobley, Dwight Howard, and Cato this could very welll be a decent team in the West.

In the West? Or are u comparing them to other Western C teams?

If that's the case, then maybe he should just call it quits now. I really don't think he'll be able to put up the numbers he used to, if only because he has to share the ball with Howard, Mobley and Francis. He'll average a good number of assists and rebounds as he always did, but I highly doubt he'll be averaging 20+ ppg.

Francis and Cat and Howard and Nelson will be the best players on the team. Sorry Hill but u'll be lucky if ur not considered a sixth man on this team. He should retire if hes thinking like that... unless he syking himself up!

74 games will be grant hill playing games this season because the orlando magics will be a most improve team this season because of a healthy grant hill and they will be the surprise team of 2004-2005 nba season.

he won't need 20ppg on this team.....15ppg wood be great. I'd love him to get 25ppg like he did with the Pistons
