All though it would be tough for the Texans to get 29 wins playing in a 16 game schedule.Donte Thomas wrote:well look, in the nfl, the houston texans were in expansion team the year before last i think, the worst record was about 3-13, the texans did 1-15. at that rate, they would reach 29 wins would be in 29 seasons, last year they did 3 wins, so basically the teams have to produce more before getting to the 30s. and anyway if they did thata good, they're only about 13 games outta the playoffs, so i think the 28 win area is impossible for an expansion team.

I forgot about that too. If you give a player a bonus in his contract you pay a portion of that as a cap penalty the next year. If somehow you sign a player without a bonus, even if it's for 10 million, you can release without any penalty.FanOfAll wrote: but unlike the Bobcats who were "handicapped" by a 29 million cap, the Texans had the luxury to take some of these players. Also, the full salary of players when they are cut by a NFL team is not paid to the player or responsible for the team, only a portion (unlike the NBA).

The Nets should be all over that. Jefferson is a disgrace to basketball. He sucks so bad, I can feel the draft over here!
