GTA V is also a much, much bigger title, with wider appeal. Basketball gaming is a niche interest; PC basketball gaming is a niche within that niche.

1. Please no more getting stuck in animations.

2.A lot more animation variety, more sig animations, running animations, dunks, etc.

3. Fix zig zag cheese.

4. Better graphics: Redo body models, scan stadiums, court etc. Rewrite shaders for better and brighter lighting court reflections etc.

5. Modding support :P

First of all let me add a me too, a second dat and (Y) (Y) (Y) (Y) (Y) (Y) (Y) (Y) (Y) (Y) to all of wombatvvv's suggestions.

And now a few of my own.

1. Post up play in 2K16 seemed like a slight step back for me. Nearly every single move was either delayed or animation heavy. Also the back-down move(like everything else)seemed to completely ignore height, weight and strength ratings.

2. MyCAREER should base a players starting and maximum Speed, Quickness, Strength, and Ball Handing on the players height and weight. Gamers should have to weigh the benefits and drawbacks of their players body type, specifically whether to go with the long arms of a 6'10" SF, the improved speed of a 6'5" SF, or the balance of a 6'7" SF(examples, of course, anything between 6'2" and 7' should be fine for a sf). Bulkier players should also be slower and more likely to win a collision battle.

3. If the above is implemented, then it is also necessary to add more body models. Players should be able to tell the difference between a 6'10" 210lb character and a 6'10" 260lb character just by looking at him.

4. I like to make my own retro teams, and I hold all current and past NBA players sacred. As such I'd like to be able to make players ranging from 5'3"(smaller if you're adding the wnba)to 7'7". As stupid as others may find this, the ability to make A Manute Bol is very important to me.

5. A full on realistic Dr. J./Iceman Gervin style Finger Roll should be added to either the Floaters or Layup animations.

6. Please bring back the mid-range runners from way-way back NBA 2K10. Oh, and the two hand big man floaters in the paint would be nifty also.

7. Can we go back to choosing the nicknames of created players ourselves?, can we?. Please, oh please.

8. Those retro style camera filters from 2K13 rocked the world, can you bring them back and make them select-able from the match-up screen?.

9. Moar retro shoes. Addidas Shell-Tops. Converse Weapons, Leather All-Star Hi and Low, Run and Gun. Puma. Pony. La Gear. Nike Air Force 2-3, Air Force Max.

10. Moar retro Jerseys. Short length and jersey fit should be linked to the player, not the team, as well.

11. Striped medium length socks. Larry Bird did not wear knee-highs.

12. Striped wrist-bands.

13. CAP facial hair and hairstyles that look like something an actual NBA player has worn or would wear. Crew-cuts, bowl-cuts, fade-cuts, the Ceaser. A high top fade that is more Dominique Wilkins and less Kid-N-Play.

14. NBA rules sliders and toggles. let players choose anything from modern, vintage and free-for-all play styles.

15. I wanna use my created players and custom teams in the offline Street Ball mode. It's quite fun for a quick fix or when you want to test line ups.

16. I can never seem to find other players in Rivet City, any and all changes to make it easier for PC players to team up would be welcome.

17. A defensive aggressiveness slider or rating. I like fouls, fouls are good. Have I mentioned that I occasionally like to play with the "Bad Boy" Pistons.
Mister O'Neal, may I introduce you to Misters Laimbeer, Mahorn and Rodman.

18. CPU Coaches made almost perfect substitutions in 2K14, not so much in 2K15. Not all starters should play the entire fourth quarter, especially if a better player or clutch specialist is on the bench. Also good starters with low Stamina should be protected for the final minutes.

I will focus on WhMyLeague as my brother and I play it pretty frequently.

1. The skill level between strong and prospect is too wide. Second round picks are trash if lottery prospect is around the same level as real life(actually a bit stronger with slider of 50), and when slider is up those picks are way to OP.

2. As mentioned above the weak prospect is too weak so free agent is very bad after draft. Please let them to be better.

3. Free agents often want to sign big contract other then 10 day one (in 2K15 only mid-50 player will sign one and they are useless). This event also appears on previous game of NBA2K, but I still have a slim hope that 2K will fix the problem.

4. Random made prospect have a better cyberface than previous game but their shooting forms and free throw forms are still ugly. Some good player "ruined" due to their shooting. I know I can change it in game, but I think 2K can assign let say 90+% of form are from those "normal" one so that that do not bother me.

5. When there are two or above user-controlled team the controlled team will propose some stupid and undervalued trade suggestion to the other one while CPU team do not and this cause my brother and I argue a lot. I know it is better when compared to 2K14 that user team cannot give out trade ideas using trade finder. I guess it is very easy to change the logic back.

6. I know someone will not like it but can 2K mix some idea of MyGM into Myleague like task of the team or player's opinion. Or maybe 2K can just add in multiplayer(two or more controlled team) opinion into MyGM. I know these two mode are different but using GM point of view is to me more exciting then only mix and match of players in MyLeague.

I only have 1 because it seems like everyone else have nailed it on the other stuff that should be looked at.

Dynamic Emotions and Animations
I'd like to see players react to different things like the bench or fans or the coach and etc. all at different times. I think more animations would help with this and it would make a huge difference in being immersed in the game. It should be applied to all of the players. If I were playing as the Lakers and we're on defense and I'm using D'Angelo Russell with Kobe on the floor as well. You should see Kobe telling others what to do, I know in game they already point at players and whatnot but it seems random, there's no actual reason they're doing those animations, from what I can see at least. More players should be talking more or yelling more on the court and you should be able to feel those emotions and actually see what the players are pointing at (like screens or backcuts). I'm not sure if that made sense but that's just one idea I have.

I just want one thing. NBA Draft Sleepers and busts. I absolutely HATE how linear drafts seem to be year after year. Make it so that GM's of other teams, and your scouts are blown away by maybe 2 or 3 60 rated prospects who end up in the lottery. Make it so that there 4 or 5 players who drop a ton because their age/height/other issues who are rated 80's or mid-seventies. Seriously.
If you look at Drafts from 4-8 years ago, the all-stars/All-NBA players from those classes were drafted:
#1 overall 4 (2 MVP's),
#2 overall 1 (MVP),
#3 overall 2,
#4 overall 1,
#5 overall 2,
#7 overall 1(MVP),
#9 overall 1,
#10 overall 2,
#11 overall 1,
#17 overall 2,
#19 overall 1,
#30 overall 1,
#35 overall 1,
#45 overall 1,
#48 overall 1

Meaning that HALF of the All stars from drafts 4-8 years ago were drafted after the 6th overall pick. Also, the average makes it so that one all-star comes out of the second round every year. EVERY YEAR. Thats the same odds of picks 2-4. So if you had the entire second round of the draft, you'd have the same chances of drafting an all-star as if you had the picks 2-4. When was the last time any team drafted an all-star in the second round in NBA 2k? I'd like to say never, or at least not at this magnitude.

Hope they still add the current-gen for PC thru steam only (like the one they release on ps3 and xbox360).. my pc can run 2k15 but for the others..
you see how 2k14 modding is still active today despite the game is almost 3yrs old..

and lastly.. hope they would add last yr FIBA world cup team.. :D
i think they should remove the euro team and replace it to FIBA team..

Doing away with all the good stuff of the PS4/X1 version (which is actually now current-gen) and going back to a 360/PS3 (ie prior-gen) port for the PC would be, simply put, an awful idea. The more difficult situation with modding is no reason to forego the superior version for one that is not going to receive nearly as much attention and support, doesn't have nearly as deep game modes, and will likely be discontinued in the not too distant future as more people upgrade from PS3 and 360.

The more logical and sensible suggestion would be to add better modding support to the PC version, as ported from the PS4/X1. You don't go back to an inferior product just so that you can offer modding; you make the new and better product more modder friendly, so that you can have the best of both worlds.

I want them to bring back being able to see the MyCareer Playoff Brackets. It makes zero sense that they took this out last year. ZEROOOO sense. They added so much superfluous crap like Chad Ford scouting reports but took out basic functionality like the ability to see what's going on in the NBA playoffs every year?

totally agree. plus there is no any guarantee that prev-gen version will be or current-gen version of 2k16 will not be more modding-friendly . there are always some problems with modding after release of some totally remastered version of the game cuz we need some new tools in the most cases. but after 1-2 years with support of this great community we have almost totally moddable game

One thing that kind of annoyed me in 2K15, is how scrawny some players look. CP3, DeAndre, MJ, etc. I'm hoping with the new body scanning feature, it'll be improved. And as far as the retro players go, I would hope they can improve their bodies with their best judgment...

As much as the signature shots have been developed, they can still be tweaked. Unfortunately, it seems 2K focuses most on improving the popular players. Where as some other player's forms have stayed the same for several years. Vince Carter, Deron Williams, Ray Allen, Rudy Gay, etc. In my opinion, I feel like Michael Jordan's shot should be tweaked as well. They haven't changed it since NBA 2K11... Unfortunately for 2K, Jordan's form changed throughout the course of his career. From the mechanical shot in the 80's and early 90's, to the smooth and fluid jumper he always splashed in the late 90's and Wizard's era. I would love to see them put more focus on this, especially since he's returning to the cover. But - I'm sure they won't. A man can dream...
In addition to that, it'd also be cool to have a follow-through option on the shot forms. Turn it on and off on whatever player you edit. (I'd personally turn it on for Kobe, turn it off for LeBron, etc).

I'd enjoy some more retro rosters as well. MJ's Wizards, T-Mac's Rockets/Magic, 2004/2010 Lakers (especially since Kobe's retiring), Vince Carter's Nets, Ray Allen's Bucks/Sonics, etc.

And of course, get rid of Clark Kellogg. Please. :facepalm2:

Re: NBA 2K16 Wishlist

Postby MaxMBox on Thu Jul 16, 2015 5:15 pm

the thing I wish to see in 2K series is an improved player upgrade system in MyCAREER. upgrade system in 2K15 is a crap. If I running pass-first PG I want to upgrade playmaking attributes first (passing accuracy, passing, dribbling etc) then 3Pt for stretching D a bit and perimeter D and speed\quickness and dunk for fastbrakes. and only after that I start upgrading medium\close jumpers, rebounds, inside D and others attributes that I do not use in regular games with the way I'm ballin'. why the heck I should pay additional SP\VC for upgrading medium and close shots if I want upgrade only 3s. the other side is defensive\rebounding 7'2" C. I need his close shots and don't need 3S in earlier stages of career cuz' he is not so quick for free himself up for long range shots and my PG doesn't play combinations for that.

the other thing is that ovl grows very quick. U are starting in midseason in 2K15 or from the start of the season in previous years with ovl 65-75 and in the end of the first season your ovl is nearly 80-85, in the mid or maximum in the end of 2nd season Ur ovl is maxed. c'mon guys, why so potential player wasn't picked even in 2nd round?

I wish to see more like RPG-style upgrade system when attributes upgrading when you using them. i.e. if I passing or shooting then this attribute is upgrading slightly and after some amount of experience I got level-up in this attribute. everyone plays RPG and I hope U understand what I mean. the higher the attribute the harder it is to increase. attributes slowly increased during the games, a little faster during the free practice\free shooting and as quickly as possible during trainings that we have periodically during the season or more frequently during the off-season, training camp, college (if 2K confirm college games, not only some kind of storyline) or Summer League (in this case there will be additional reason to not skip SL), or that you can buy additional for SP\VC during the season. similar upgrade system has already been implemented in 2K15 in MyGM mode but in some kind of embryonic state and needs to be more refined.

I don't know how about you, but when I spent summer training threes, I also got better in shooting from the rest of the court.

It will be cool if we can add freestyle dribble moves and on a fastbreak be able to do a freestyle controlled dunk to make the game more enjoyable.
Let players argue foul calls that can lead to a technical foul if pushed to far..

Myplayer should add a "simslike" way of creating a crib. So when your agent comes to your house they will show your house and cars etc.

I've said it practically every year but 2K seem to never listen. The animations.
There's just too many scripted animations piled up on one another. For example: when I try to steal the ball the game seem to choose a random animation for that instead of letting me control in what direction I want to go. (I hope it makes sense). I would like to see more freedom over the player movement.

Anyway, I'd like MyPlayer names to be available. It's ridiculous when I select a name from their list and it says I can't use it for foul language.

As for MyCareer - I have a concept of fully revamping skill progression, sadly it doesn't use VC (as much), so I guess it won't be viable wish.
