If only we had the best player on the planet there *Kevin Garnett*.

I thought Duncan was a winner? Guess not.

KG isn't better than Duncan. I won't explain. That's like telling a Kobe fan Shaq was more valuable to LA.

As CK said, replace Duncan with Garnett and you've got the same crap. They just didn't play as a team.

I just finished watching it and some things were interesting to me:
3 point line is closer and yet 3/24...
Puerto Rico played a zone defense and Carmelo in college has experience with zones... im surprised larry brown didn't use him much.

The defense collapsed on Duncan. What else was he supposed to do? It is a team game. Shooting one of 10 doesnt help much either, does it?

Missing 16 3's, sheesh.

To be fair, Duncan's hailed as the best player in the NBA and people rave about how he's going to dominate the Olympics. Defense is going to collapse on him all the time, but surely he should just give the ball out to one of the open men? Puerto Rico aren't exactly a World super power in basketball...

I couldn't believe it when I woke up this morning and saw that result. There goes the undefeated record in Olympic (though not all international) competion with NBA players representing the USA. (N)

Props to Channel 7 for actually showing some highlights of that match, the USA got torn apart... the offense was absolutely horrible and Arroyo just scored at will.

THe outside shooting wasn't there for them that game... the only offensive options they had were Duncan and Odom. Duncan was double/triple teamed the whole game and Odom was in foul trouble the whole game.
