FSHLINE problem

Postby b_baller86 on Sat Dec 27, 2014 12:46 pm

I am trying to repack a folder of .bmp's to an .fsh file after unpacking it.
I was able to successfully unpack it using fshline, but when i tried repacking, it keeps failing.

This is the command i am using to REPACK:
fshline bostcrt_vram\index.fsh
(for bostcrt_vram.fsh)

This is the message i get:
No alpha data files.
Expecting 6 objects, allocating xxxxxxx bytes of memory
Cannot open file '0000-%d.BMP

Unsuccessful termination. See README.TXT for more details.

Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I've never used FSHLINE for courts, but I've also used the drag and drop method (ie drop the art files onto fshline.exe) rather than messing around with the command line. It definitely works for face files:

But as I said, I've not used it for courts, so I'm not sure if there are any issues there.

after unpacking the file, there should be a folder there right? If so, you're on the right track. Now all you need to do is place the file you want into that folder. Remember that it should be a png file and the filename is the same with the original one. After that select all the parts that is inside the folder then drag it to the fshline.

mervie16, it looks like you're talking about unpacking the fsh file as png and dds.
the problem is that i unpacked my .fsh file as a folder of bmp files.
So the contents of that file would not containg any png. It contains bmp files as follows:

0000-1
0000-1a
0000-2
0000-2a, etc.

so the files ending in 'a' would determine the transparency.

This is the command i used to unpack per the application
Code: Select all
 fshline bostcrt_vram.fsh -nfs

I tried using the following to repack the bmp folder back to .fsh file without success
Code: Select all
 fshline bostcrt_vram\index.fsh -nfs

I tried the drag drop method as you stated, but like you said its only for png/dds file format.
Is there a way to successfully repack the bmp files back to a .fsh file

As far as I'm aware, the drag and drop method should work for bitmap files. It does for face textures, at any rate.

What is it that you're doing with the files? Usually, an easier way of editing the court files is to open any .fsh files with FshX, save the textures as dds files, modify them with GIMP or Photoshop (DDS plugins are available for both programs), save them as dds or png files, and then re-import them using FshX.

Why not just drag and drop the fsh file to the fshline? Dont make any command. Just drag and drop.
that would be a lot easier to unpack the file and pack it again.
