that has got to be the first time i ever heard hakeems name when considering the best player of all time. no one in thier right mind would take him over jordan,bird,magic,wilt,and a shit load of other players.
another thing people have to consider is the league is not as good as it was in the 90's and more so in the 80's. these players, great as they are, would not be as great back in those days. i am not saying that they would suck and would not be all stars but it would be a totally different story. what if duncan played his prime through the mid 90's. say he was not a spur. say he had to go against people like ewing,hakeem, and robinson(great back then). not to mention a host of other big men who were not legens or even all stars but all were damn good,specially when compared to todays big men.
also dont compare greatest ever by stats alone, stats help you get the convo started but there is alot more to take into consideration, and tops on that list is who did they get these stats against. remember all these expansion teams over the past 10 years or whatever are watering down the nba so the teams are not as good as they once were, though i wont say the compitition is less simple because the watering down effects all.
