I have had Live 03 since it has been out. No problems with framerates up to this point.
Today- when I go to load a season, I can go to the game, the jump ball, and then it's 5 vs. 1 and as soon as one shoots the ball, the game freezes, with the error message, NBA LIVE 03 has caused an illegal problem.
I have searched the site and went 4 pages deep and I did everything possible with checking to see if vid card is directx 8.1 enabled. That's ok.
650 Pent 3, TNT2 Nvivia, 196MB
I received Links 03 for XMas. That game froze as well. I emailed Bill Gates CS and they stated they had issues with later Nvida releases. They asked me to go through all this troubleshooting, and as a last resort, install the 30.82's. I did that and the game now works. Wonder if this is it.
I played a game of Live on Sat.(2 days ago) and there was some choppiness to it and some freezes for the 1st time. It did play through, though.
I cannot get to the Patch page, I have tried and tried and I have enabled everything to get to it. I still get the errors found page. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Upgrade to DX9 to see if it works.

Hope that helps.

thanks zeroblade, i may try that. Ea is telling me I have to update my nvidia drivers. I had 40.71, and Microsoft Links doesn't work with those drivers, so, decision time. I'd rather play live.

upgrade the drivers for your card
you should be fine
I dont think DX9 will make a difference
Upgrade your nvidia drivers from voodoo files website.
search for drivers for that card
