Professional Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH, etc)

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

Gah got it mixed up. Cesaro's and Zayn's was a sunset flip transitioning to... a mid-air powerbomb?

Batista turning heel on SmackDown might just make the title match at WrestleMania a triple threat match.

Brutal. Looks like that Match of the Year talk isn't an exaggeration.

I enjoyed it more than Zayn-Cesaro III, although the two months of "MATCH OF THE YEAR MATCH OF THE FOREVER WATCH THE MATCH" leading up to III may have something to do with that.

The 1:10 spot was used in III as well, though, so I can't say that one really stuck out. Overall, there was a nice mix of repeated spots and counters out of attempts to repeat spots.

Best moment of the night, though? Emma doing a sitout powerbomb on Paige and getting a "better than Batista" chant.

Should air in Australia next Thursday, although it was two hours and may get split up over two weeks. Zayn-Cesaro IV was the opener, so that should definitely be on Thursday. Awful decision, really: the show was pretty much downhill from there, through absolutely no fault of any of the wrestlers trying to follow Zayn-Cesaro.

It seems there's a decent possibility of it. Heel vs Heel matches only really work if there's a chance that one of them can turn face, and the crowd probably isn't going to turn Orton. I know there was that declaration of "no faces or heels, just characters" a while back, but that's just silly. There's always going to be protagonists and antagonists, and characters that the crowd doesn't like/loves to hate. With two such characters set to main event Wrestlemania, that match seems destined to be a flop.

Just saw the Elimination Chamber PPV. And wow the Shield-Wyatts match . Bray Wyatt is just fun to watch.

And I just love how the Diva's title match was placed after that. Coffee break for the audience.

Hah, I think WWE did good stuff to keep the Chicago crowd waiting. Giving the Uso's the belt, giving Dolph the win, Paul Heyman's promo. All of those pointed to a good ending with Punk being the last segment. I think they played it well. Hell I even wait on B/R to go guns a-blazing on CM Punk posts on Raw.

The only redeeming quality of this episode was going to be the Chicago crowd, and WWE killed it.

No idea why they rebelled against the Sheamus-Christian match but were invested in the rubbish diva tag match.

No idea why "there was a swerve" is in spoiler tags...not only is it entirely lacking in specificity, it's TNA, so the fact that there was a swerve is hardly a surprise.

Not that it necessarily counts as a swerve; I could see it coming after Impact (the one negative of TNA's rebranding a while back: no longer being able to call it "iMPACT!") a couple of weeks ago. Okay, so he elbows MVP in the face, but everyone just assumed he was on Roode's team even after he insisted he wouldn't be if he didn't get half Roode's winnings, which he never got. So of course he turned.

*checks results*

Wait, it wasn't him? What the fuck, TNA? You have the perfect setup for an entirely sensible "swerve", and you go with that?

Speaking of sensible swerves, I thought the wrong team went over on Raw after Rollins walked out on the Shield. Rollins and Ambrose go nuts, beat the Wyatts, Reigns gets even more over, Rollins comes back in like his move worked and they can work as a team now. Then you can run exactly the same angle you ran on SmackDown. It opens up any combination of two-on-one, or a complete three-way feud, or even the team sticking together because seriously, why are you even breaking them up right now? You're not exactly wanting for singles guys, assuming Cena, Orton and Batista aren't going anywhere, and I doubt anyone would complain if they went at the Wyatts a few more times.

To return to TNA, though, and respond to your contention that their TV of late has been better than that PPV: the elimination six-man tag. That is all.

Sometimes hiding half-funny things behind spoilerz makes them just a bit more funny.

I meant overall atmosphere/legitimacy/full arenas of the UK tapings vs, well, SPOILERZSSESZ

Tons of open space visible in the corners of the barriers, overall feel of that show was like PWG level or other indies, with a less enthusiastic crowd.

Solid developments on RAW. The Cena/Hogan stuff was a bit painful, but Bray Wyatt's promo and Cena's response to him was a lot better. Taker/Heyman was pretty good as well, but the Bryan stuff was great to see.

Of course, they can still mess it up, but it seems like the push is on. It doesn't make last year's angle brilliant by any means, but if they do this one properly then it's a great recovery and an even bigger moment, being Wrestlemania and a chance to potentially go over three main event guys.

I haven't watched Raw yet, and basically all I've heard is that Bryan is in the main event, but based on that it should've ended that way in the first place, just via a Royal Rumble victory.

In all fairness, they have done some high risk spots in the PG era, but I'll pay that.

There, there.

There were rumors that the Wyatt's theme will be performed live at WrestleMania.

Pretty brutal segment to end RAW this week. It's one that will make Daniel Bryan's revenge at Wrestlemania especially meaningful and satisfying, though one can't help but wonder if they'll still pull the rug out from under him.

I'll only believe it when it happens, if Bryan becomes champion and doesn't get dethroned on Raw the next night.
