ericxxx just confirmed that there is no way to have logos and the espn logos...the espn scoreboard uses the custom logos i have been using...i guess this mod is not using espn

Is CBS an option? Maybe we could ask him to make it since he's done all the major companies.



Not to mention it's used just as much as ESPN for college presentations.

Heck, he can leave the logos to us.

the scoreboards not the problem...we dont get real logos if we use one of these scoreboards..we just get the logos with the team name in it

If somebody has the ability to draw that CBS scoreboard, exrxixxx has promised me he would make the slide-outs and stats, etc. all work. Just need somebody to draw the base of it. Maybe he has the time to do it at this point (you're welcome to post that pic in his thread and ask), or someone else who has the background of it. I'd love to have that scoreboard, and have those logos as an option, vnardella5, for those who are interested in having it.

I prefer the latter one you picked, which I believe is from last year's tournament. This year's looks similar to that, from what I recall watching Indy/MSU yesterday... Really though, if neither are possible, we can always roll with the already made ESPN. Whatever works.

I've used all of Bamz's CFs, and my goal with this is to have it overwrite nothing at all.

I'm not sure what to tell you. They're working for others so the file is okay, I'm assuming. I imagine you're installing incorrectly, maybe you put the folder into your main directory instead of emptying the contents of the folder into it? How many individual .iff files did you empty into the main 2K directory from the first download??

It isn't a RAR file, it's a 7-zip (the first one, the add-ons are RAR, which helps explain your problem, potentially), but WinRAR should still be able to extract the files. It sounds like that's where your problem is.

The problem with WSU is that I don't have a single CF for a solitary player on the entire team. Also the court appears to need some smoothing out of lines and textures. I have CFs for other teams, and high-res floors AND arenas, which puts them higher on my priority list. If someone makes some CFs for Wichita State players, I can get them in sooner. Otherwise, they're sitting behind teams like Arizona, Miami, Missouri, Indiana, and Syracuse, etc. It's tough to justify putting them in before any of those teams listed, when for all those teams listed I have floors, arenas (mostly), and at least a 3 - 4 CFs for their players.

I really like the fact that you gave some guys real CFs instead of the horrible "usercreated mannequin" CAP faces

The only problem was the iffy at best ratings for some players. For example Jon Horford of Mich. was a 85 ovr when he averages 3 pts and 3 rebs for 4 years at he school??? It wasnt that big of a problem since I like customizing the teams / players myself but it was the only setback.

Go on and make this mad as big and sick as possible along with BShadows.

These are the things I'm looking for. If I've made a mistake rating a player here or there (which I'm sure I have, and Horford is a fine example), I can certainly go back and amend the mistake. I'm using Slimm's players as bases, and it's much more about the gameplay than Overall; so please don't pay attention to the Overalls of players, but more to their individual ratings. Horford, though, I agree, needs to be fixed, and I will find a more appropriate player to base him off of. Also, per game statistics are useless. Horford averaging 3 PPG, when his first 3 years he was playing 5 - 6 minutes a game says nothing about his ability as a player; it speaks to how many minutes he played. This year he's grabbing 5 boards in 15 minutes per game, and scoring 7 points. That's pretty good production.

Just wanted to stop in and tell you that I've been following this mod for several weeks and really appreciate the quality work you are putting out.

Question on ratings: Based on the ratings you have thus far, it seems that the intention is not to have them correlate with NBA players ratings, (to illustrate, let's say you have a college player with an 85 rating, that would mean he is already good enough to be an all star in the NBA,) but to have them stand alone as a separate game.

I can see logic in doing it either way, (correlating skills to NBA or having them relative to just how good they are in college) and have no complaints with however you want to do it. The reason I bring this up is that I foresee using this mod in conjunction with association mode. Once Vlad adds draft class editing, it wouldn't be too challenging for anyone familiar with Reditor to add draft class players, (pierrelban's fictional draft classes, for instance) and remove graduating seniors or players entering the draft at season's end. This would of course be a little work at the end of each season, but would make Association mode insanely deep and give great context while playing this NCAA mod. Of course, for that to work, you would need relative ratings, so that a college player rated a 60 would be a 60 in the NBA. To me, it also seems the NCAA game would feel more authentic if the average college player was less athletic and skilled than the average professional.

Either way, it won't be too difficult to globally change the ratings however you guys decide to do it. Thanks again for the great work.

Great demo! I finally got the time to try it out last night!! I can't wait to see what blacktops mod can be made with this --- perhaps even be incorporated into UBR

Alvin Ellis of MSU has a white cyberface and arms & that same cyberface is also on 2 other players that are on the MSU roster.. And also Marcus Paige of UNC has dark legs..
