Grizzlies get: Erick Dampier
Cavaliers get: picks and caproom
Warriors get: Wagner and Swift
Vin Baker will be in Cleveland today and is expected to have a deal done by Monday with the Cavs. Apparently he wants more than the MLE which is why there is a three way talk between GS/Memph/Cle. The specifics were not released, but something rumored to involve Mem getting Dampier, GS getting Swift and Wagner and Cleveland getting future draft picks. Wags salary would then be used to pay on top of the MLE for Baker
That was Cleveland radio station.

that would be a good trade,Memphis gets what they want,Cleveland can save up for next year, and GS get a quality big man and backup point

Yea and the Grizzlies won't have to give up nothing but Swift which will really work out

After I looked at Dampier's player profile, he didn't get as many mins as he did all the other yrs except for his 1st year in GS which was his sophmore year in the NBA. He put up 11 ppg and 8 rpg in 32 mpg. Last year he played 32 mpg and put up 12 ppg and 12 rpg. All the other years he averaged around 22 and 23 mpg. So I don't see why people say he just played well because last year was his contract year.

Because if you've watched almost every game of his career (like I have), you'd realize he's an underachiever and has always been, until last season.
As for the trade...there must be a lot more pieces to it than that, so I can't really comment on it right now.

That sounds like a pretty good deal for the Warriors, especially since they don't seem too keen on keeping Dampier. I'm kind of surprised to see the Cavaliers are ready to give up on Wagner (Didn't Silas want to establish him as a spark plug off the bench, backing up the point?), especially to get Vin Baker for more than the MLE.
Even though he looked pretty good at the start of last season, I don't think Baker has re-established himself as a player who can name his price. I guess Boozer's impending departure makes him seem a little more appealing.

that's a shame, he'd better prove before he really stopped with alcohol before asking more than MLE. Even "sober" with the Knicks last year he had less than average stats. He certainly deserves a kick in the ass, nothing more for the moment
