New York -- LeBron James of the Miami Heat is the winner of the Maurice Podoloff Trophy as the 2012-13 Kia NBA Most Valuable Player Award, the NBA announced today. Lebron earns the honor for the second consecutive year and the fourth time in five seasons.

The only other player to win the award in four of five seasons is Bill Russell (1961, 62, 63, 65), and the only other players to win at least four regular-season MVPs are Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (six), Michael Jordan (five), Russell (five) and Wilt Chamberlain (four). Only Abdul-Jabbar went back-to-back twice, as James did with trophies in 2009 and 2010 and now again in 2012 and 2013.

James totaled 1,207 points, including 120 first-place votes from a panel of 121 voters sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the United States and Canada.

Rounding out the top five in voting are Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers (765 points), Miami Heat’s Dwyane Wade (475 points, one first-place vote), the Los Angeles Clippers’ Chris Paul (289 points), and Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder (184 points).

James led the Heat to a NBA best record of 65-17, including a 16 game winning streak in March to clinch home-court advantage throughout the playoffs. Currently in his 10th NBA season and coming off the 2012 NBA Championship, James averaged 25.3 points (6th in league), 7.2 rebounds, 6.6 assists, and 1.7 steals over 79 games played, shooting 51.4% from the field, 31.7% from three, and 76.5% from the free throw line while keeping his turnovers down to a career low 2.4 per contest.

Ayon received 212 of a possible 1,089 points, including 30 first-place votes, from a panel of 121 sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the United States and Canada. Chicago’s Joakim Noah (149 points, 18 first-place votes) and Laker center Dwight Howard (122 points, 14 first-place votes) finished second and third, respectively. Players were awarded five points for each first-place vote, three points for each second-place vote and one point for each third-place vote received.

A 2nd year center out of Mexico, Ayon becomes only the 8th player in NBA history to average more than 1.5 blocks (1.5) and 2.0 steals (2.2) per game, joining the likes of Hakeem Olajuwon (4 times), Michael Jordan (2 times), Julius Erving (2 times), Bobby Jones (1976-77), David Robinson (1991-92), and Gerald Wallace (2005-06).

Signing with the New Orleans Hornets in his rookie season following a five year career in Europe, Ayon was acquired via trade by the Orlando Magic in the sign and trade deal that involved forward Ryan Anderson. Since then Ayon has had a breakout sophomore campaign in this 2012-13 season, taking over the center position vacated by the departure of Dwight Howard, and put up career highs across the board with averages of 14.6 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 2.2 steals, and 1.5 blocks over 72 games played, shooting just under 54% from the field.

Tyson Chandler and Dwight Howard are the two most recent winners of the award.

New York -- Houston’s James Harden is the winner of the 2012-13 Kia NBA Most Improved Player Award, the NBA announced today. The annual award is presented to a player who has made a significant improvement from the previous season.

Harden received 311 of a possible 1,080 points, including 52 first-place votes, from a panel of 120 sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the United States and Canada. Gustavo Ayon of the Orlando Magic (146 points, 13 first-place votes) and the Rockets’ Jeremy Lin (141 points, 10 first-place votes) finished second and third, respectively. Players were awarded five points for each first-place vote, three points for each second-place vote and one point for each third place vote received.

Coming off a NBA Finals appearance with the Thunder, Harden was traded in the offseason to the Rockets, where he immediately had an impact and formed one of the most potent offensive backcourts in the NBA with Jeremy Lin.

Despite playing in just 58 games due to various injuries, Harden averaged career highs across the board, most notably the 22.4 points per game average, which is just second on the team behind Lin’s 25.7. It is a big increase from his previous season, when he came off the bench as the sixth man for the Thunder and put up 16.8 points per game. Harden’s improvement became even clearer after Jeremy Lin went down with a broken ankle, as he averaged just over 33 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists in those final 23 games of the season.

Cheers man, hopefully he'll be back within a game or two, scoring is going to be extremely hard without him drawing the defenses away from the perimeter cause we got nobody who can create a shot outside of Nate....

Yeah, he came out of nowhere and had a historical season, as crazy as it gets. Austin rivers averaged like 15 points I think, at least in 2K he's no bust
Can't believe Noah didn't get selected for all nba defensive teams and Kobe ended up on All NBA Third team, but that's 2K for you...Jeremy Lin should've won MIP over Harden too if you ask me

2013 NBA Playoffs Preview: First Round
Image

Image
1. San Antonio Spurs (55-27) v 8. Dallas Mavericks (41-41)

Key Rotation
San Antonio Spurs: Tony Parker | Manu Ginobili | Kawhi Leonard | Tim Duncan | Tiago Splitter | Dejuan Blair
Dallas Mavericks: Darren Collison | O.J. Mayo | Shawn Marion | Dirk Nowitzki | Elton Brand | Richard Hamilton

Comment: In a battle for Texas, the red hot Spurs will look to carry on their strong play from the end of the regular season to this closer-than-expected first round series against a very formidable Dallas Mavericks team who are a lot better than their 8th seed status indicates. While sixth man Vince Carter is still sidelined with a back injury, the Mavs got a very competent replacement at the wing position in mid-season pickup Richard Hamilton, whom they acquired in the deadline-trade with the Chicago Bulls, and let’s not forget there is still a guy by the name of Dirk Nowitzki. This will be an interesting series to follow.
Prediction: Spurs in six

2. Los Angeles Lakers (53-29) v 7. Memphis Grizzlies (42-40)

Key Rotation
Los Angeles Lakers: Steve Blake | Kobe Bryant | Metta World Peace | Pau Gasol | Dwight Howard | Jordan Hill
Memphis Grizzlies: Mike Conley | Tony Allen | Tayshaun Prince | Zach Randolph | Marc Gasol | Ed Davis

Comment: With Steve Nash still out, the Lakers are turning to Steve Blake the keys to the offense, which could spell bad news for Laker Nation as they have experienced problems ever since Nash went down. The good news is that Pau Gasol returns to the lineup and Nash should only miss 1-2 more weeks. However, the Grizzlies are not a breeze in the park either, and the series could well come down to which big man duo (Gasol-Randolph or Howard-Gasol) can dominate down low.
Prediction: Grizzlies in seven

3. Oklahoma City Thunder (51-31) v 6. Golden State Warriors (42-40

Key Rotation
Oklahoma City Thunder: Russell Westbrook | Kevin Martin | Kevin Durant | Serge Ibaka | Nick Collison | Thabo Sefolosha
Golden State Warriors: Stephen Curry | Klay Thompson | Harrison Barnes | David Lee | Andrew Bogut | Jarrett Jack

Comment: The Thunder may have struggled out of the gate to start the season, but ever since Scott Brooks started Nick Collison in place of Kendrick Perkins at center, they have been running like a well-oiled machine. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson maybe the best shooting backcourt in the league, but there is no defense that the Warriors backcourt players are capable of putting up against Russell Westbrook and Kevin Martin. Harrison Barnes might be a rookie standout, but he’s going up against Kevin Durant, good luck with that. The Warriors frontcourt will keep them in games and perhaps steal a couple, but look for OKC to advance with relative ease.
Prediction: Thunder in five

4. Los Angeles Clippers (51-31) v 5. Denver Nuggets (43-39)

Key Rotation
Los Angeles Clippers: Chris Paul | Chauncey Billups | Grant Hill | Blake Griffin | DeAndre Jordan | Jamal Crawford
Denver Nuggets: Ty Lawson | Andre Iguodala | Wilson Chandler | Kenneth Faried | JaVale McGee | Danilo Gallinari

Comment: With the likes of Jamal Crawford, Matt Barnes, and Caron Butler on the bench, the Clippers are loaded with talent; but so too are the Denver Nuggets in the form of Gallinari, Andre Miller, and Corey Brewer. This will be an exciting, up and down series that will feature a ton of points from both sides and close games throughout. Look for Paul to score a lot more than usual, as his matchup with Ty Lawson should be the easiest of the bunch to exploit with Iguodala, Faried, and McGee locking down on his teammates.
Prediction: Clippers in seven

Image
1. Miami Heat (65-17) v 8. Toronto Raptors (40-42)

Key Rotation
Miami Heat: Mario Chalmers | Dwyane Wade | LeBron James | Chris Bosh | Udonis Haslem | Ray Allen
Toronto Raptors: Kyle Lowry | DeMar DeRozan | Rudy Gay | Amir Johnson | Jonas Valanciunas | Andrea Bargnani

Comment: What is by far the best team in the NBA against a banged up Toronto team that squeaked into the playoffs with a sub .500 record by defeating the Celtics bench on the last day of the regular season. Miami does have some injury concerns of their own, in particular Dwyane Wade and Mike Miller, but this matchup is so lopsided they can afford to just rest them in preparation for the next series. In fact, they might elect to have Chris Bosh torment his old team by himself. Yeah, it’s that bad.
Prediction: Heat in four

2. New York Knicks (55-27) v 7. Philadelphia 76ers (41-41)

Key Rotation
New York Knicks: Jason Kidd | J.R. Smith | Carmelo Anthony | Amare Stoudemire | Tyson Chandler | Raymond Felton
Philadelphia 76ers: Jrue Holiday | Jason Richardson | Evan Turner | Thaddeus Young | Andrew Bynum | Spencer Hawes

Comment: All season long the Sixers have been surrounded by the question of “how healthy is Andrew Bynum?” The former Laker All Star center played just 46 games this season for his new squad, and averaged a modest 12.7 points and 8.4 rebounds over that stretch. His play did improve towards season’s end, and Bynum again will be the X-Factor that determines the level of success the Sixers have against a very good Knicks team led by Carmelo Anthony.
Prediction: Knicks in four

3. Chicago Bulls (54-28) v 6. Brooklyn Nets (42-40)

Key Rotation
Chicago Bulls: Kirk Hinrich | Jimmy Butler | Luol Deng | Taj Gibson | Joakim Noah | Nate Robinson
Brooklyn Nets: Deron Williams | Joe Johnson | Gerald Wallace | Kris Humphries | Brook Lopez | Marshon Brooks

Comment: The Bulls are still without Carlos Boozer, who remains day-to-day with the strained lower abdomen he suffered about two weeks ago, and that puts a big burden on the already-thin rotation of the Bulls, who have played all season without Derrick Rose. The Nets have a lot of depth and will look to wear down on the league’s number one defense with sheer talent and man-power. Boozer should return sometime during the series and provide the much needed offensive production for what is also the league’s worst team on offense.
Prediction: Bulls in seven

4. Boston Celtics (50-31) v 5. Atlanta Hawks (48-34)

Key Rotation
Boston Celtics: Rajon Rondo | Jason Terry | Paul Pierce | Jeff Green | Kevin Garnett | Avery Bradley
Atlanta Hawks: Jeff Teague | Louis Williams | Josh Smith | Al Horford | Chris Andersen | Devin Harris

Comment: The Celtics are sorely missing the presence of rookie center Fab Melo, who went down with a Torn MCL and will be out for at least the next 8-10 months after a promising rookie campaign, and they will look to go small and try to outrun the Atlanta Hawks with Rajon Rondo, the league’s leader in assists leading the way. This is, frankly, not a good option for the veteran squad as the young and athletic lineup of the Hawks should be able to outlast the Cs as the series progress.
Prediction: Hawks in six

Brooklyn Goes Small, Wins Big as Nets Steal Game 1

Williams led the Nets to a win with a very efficient offensive outing

Chicago, IL -- The Bulls bigs were licking their chops with glee when it was announced that Avery Johnson had opted to bench starting center Brook Lopez in favor of inserting sixth man guard Marshon Brooks into the starting lineup.

They weren’t so happy by the end of the game.

Despite being outsized, outmuscled, and outhustled in the paint for a 36-55 rebounding deficit, including a 5-16 differential on the offensive boards, Deron Williams and the Brooklyn Nets managed to put up just enough points to edge the Chicago Bulls, 78-70, in game 1 of this best of seven series in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Williams finished with 13 points and 8 assists while Joe Johnson scored a game-high 18 points. Marshon Brooks also chipped in with 13.

It wasn’t pretty, as the Bulls turned up their already league-best defense up a notch, as they held the Nets to just 29 for 75 from the field, but they were equally as bad without the presence of Carlos Boozer, and were 29 for 76 themselves, including a dismal 1 for 13 from beyond the arc with their shooters unable to find open shots.

Nate Robinson went 6 for 20 from the field, including just 1 for 8 from three.

"I take full responsibility for this game.” said Robinson, “We would’ve won this game if I made two or three more of those shots."

Luol Deng led the way for Chicago with 14 points in a staggering 45 minutes of play, while Joakim Noah added another double double, putting up 10 and 14 of his own, but only played 31 minutes due to foul trouble that kept him out of most of the second quarter, when Brooklyn outscored Chicago 23-13.

“Turnovers” said Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau, “We were too sloppy on offense and gave them too many easy looks”

The Nets scored 21 points off the Bulls 15 turnovers, and at one point led by as many as 14.

“I thought our guys played hard, we got what we came for” said Nets coach Avery Johnson, “They killed us on the boards but it was what we anticipated when we made the decision to go with Marshon”

However, Johnson did point out that the move was only a temporary one, and it’ll be a game-by-game decision, with Brook Lopez struggling in his role off the bench, never finding a rhythm as he went 1 for 7 from the field for 4 points and 1 rebound in 21 minutes of play.

The Nets now lead the series 1-0. Game two will remain in Chicago before the series shifts to Brooklyn for games 3 and 4.

Boozer Returns as Bulls Even Series at 1-1
Game Story | Box Score | Team Stats | Player of the Game

Boozer returned and made his presence felt down low

Chicago, IL -- Ever since joining the Chicago Bulls in the summer of 2010, Carlos Boozer has been heavily criticized, often hearing more “boos” than “booze” at the United Center, and seeing trade rumors and amnesty talk coming left and right.

Never before has he received as much love as he did following tonight’s performance.

After struggling to score and putting up just 70 points, subsequently dropping the first game at home in this First Round series against the Brooklyn Nets, Chicago fans finally realized how much they needed Boozer with Derrick Rose still recovering from a torn ACL suffered from last year’s playoffs.

Boozer, who’s been out with an abdominal strain since the beginning of the month, announced just 4 hours before tipoff that he’ll be ready to go for game 2.

To make a long story short, he dominated the post from start to finish, scored the first 10 points for Chicago finished the game with 21 points alongside 9 rebounds in 29 minutes of play; going 9 for 16 from the field and most importantly, led the Bulls to a 87-84 victory over the Nets to tie the series up at 1 apiece.

“It’s [Abdomen] a little bit [tight] still,” Boozer said, “but my teammates needed me and fortunately it loosened up enough to play. It’s the playoffs, man. You just got to fight through it”

Deng led the way with 25 points, playing all 48 minutes, while Joakim Noah added 8 points and 12 rebounds as the Bulls shot 44% from the field and did just enough to fend off a relentless Brooklyn squad led by Deron Williams and Brook Lopez.

Williams finished with 17 points and 6 assists, while Lopez returned to the starting lineup and led the Nets with 19 points alongside 13 rebounds.

“I thought he did a good job out there tonight,” Nets coach Avery Johnson said, “I put him [Lopez] in an unfamiliar role last game and he struggled a bit, so it was good to see him get his rhythm back”

The Nets went back with a traditional lineup with the return of Boozer to mitigate the rebounding edge, which again went to Chicago, the league’s best rebounding team, but it wasn’t quite the -19 margin that they experienced in game 1.

In fact, the Nets actually scored more than the Bulls in the paint, putting up a staggering 56 points to Chicago’s 48, an exact double of what they had in game 1 (28 points in the paint).

However, Chicago did a nice job attacking the rim and earned a sizeable free throw advantage, which made the difference in the game.

Brooklyn had just 5 attempts at the line, while the Bulls put up 21 free throws, making 15 of them.

“I don’t think we got as many calls as we deserve,” Williams said, “But it’s just one of those things. We got what we came for [the split] so now it’s time to go back and defend homecourt”

Game 3 will be in Brooklyn, as the Nets look to host the first major postseason game in Brooklyn since Oct. 10, 1956, when the Yankees beat the Dodgers in Game 7 of the World Series at Ebbets Field.

Hopefully history will repeat itself and you can beat the Nets without Rose. :)

That's the plan! Our terrible offense might not be able to pull it off tho, Nate Robinson is really hard to use in 2K and gets blocked with ease. I can't find scoring outside of offensive rebounds, Boozer, or Deng so it's going to be tough :-|

I really dig this picture! Super stylish.

Apparently you took a time machine back to the 90s because those are some ugly final scores. And yeah, you'll definitely need Nate to step it up, the roster that you currently have is way too offensively challenged. You basically have to get lucky and hope for some big nights from somewhere. It's pretty much how the Bulls beat the Nets in real life during the playoffs.

Haha yeah it's pretty bad, but that's how the Bulls play under Thibs anyways, good old old-school basketball. (Y) I really need some offense...somewhere... :|

Deng, Bulls Rally Late to Take Game 3

Gibson’s efforts on the offensive boards was a big reason for the Bulls win

Brooklyn, NY -- For the first three quarters, it seemed like the Brooklyn Blackout was going to be a success.

Then the Bulls crashed the party.

In yet another ugly outing, the Chicago Bulls somehow pulled off the road victory with a fourth quarter rally that featured their ever daunting staple that has become the norm since the moment Tom Thibodeau signed on the dotted line for the first time in Chicago.

    Defense.

Led by an all-rounded effort from Luol Deng and an energetic display from Taj Gibson off the bench, the Chicago Bulls locked in defensively in the fourth quarter and rallied back to stun the Nets 85-82 and take the series lead at 2-1.

Boozer led the team in scoring with 17 points, but it was the effort and hustle across the board that helped Chicago pull this one off, with Deng effectively neutralizing Joe Johnson (7 points, 1-8 FG) and Taj Gibson dominating the paint with 11 points on a perfect 4-4 shooting alongside 10 rebounds (5 offensive) in his 23 minutes off the bench.

“We struggled shooting the ball but our bigs did a great job crashing the boards and that kept us in the game” Deng said, “In the playoffs you have to win different ways and we were able to grind this one out tonight”

Deron Williams led the way for the Nets with 15 points, but he had 5 turnovers and just 4 assists as the team struggled against the Bulls’ defense in the fourth quarter. Wallace added in 15 points of his own, along with 5 steals and 6 rebounds and was arguably the lone Net who was doing fine against Chicago’s pressure defense.

It was an obnoxious ending to what was supposed to be Brooklyn’s night. The Nets wore their road black uniforms and fans were encouraged to wear black as well to make it a "blackout" for the first major postseason game in Brooklyn since Oct. 10, 1956, when the Yankees beat the Dodgers in Game 7 of the World Series at Ebbets Field.

It was going to be a celebration, but instead the Nets find themselves trailing the series 1-2 and relinquished the very home court advantage they had earned by taking game 1 in Chicago.

“We’ve just got to make shots,” Williams said, “Give them credit for their defense, that’s what they do but we are better than this.”

The Bulls are still without Derrick Rose, who tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in last year's playoff opener. Thibodeau hasn't ruled out the former MVP returning in this series, noting the end would be two weeks from Saturday if it went the distance.

Game 4 will remain in Brooklyn before the series shifts back to Chicago for game 5.

Wow, neither team has reached 90 points this series, will really be a tough series to win. If you score 90 each game, you'll take this. :D I have 120-point games playing 10 minutes on HOF.

Yeah, tweaking sliders over time has finally enabled me to play (with a shitload of luck probably) full 48 minute games with pretty realistic scores (Y)

90 points does seem like the sky huh?

Johnson explodes for 31 as Nets even series at 2-2

Johnson rarely missed a shot enroute to a 31 point performance and a much needed Nets win

Brooklyn, NY -- Joe Johnson took a lot of heat after being held to just 7 points on 1 for 8 shooting in Brooklyn’s game 3 loss to the Bulls.

He took all of it in and turned in one of the best games of his postseason career.

Missing only three shots the entire game and hitting most of them in the Nets’ 38 point fourth quarter performance, Johnson turned in 31 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists on 10 for 13 shooting, including a perfect 3 for 3 from beyond the arc and 8 for 8 from the charity stripe to give the Brooklyn Nets a 97-94 victory in game 4.

“Big win for us tonight, Joe was huge down the stretch” Nets coach Avery Johnson said, “He’s a great player and we are glad to have a player of his caliber on our team”

It looked bleak for the Nets at start, with Brooklyn being held to just 14 points in the first quarter, but then Chicago’s offense began missing shots and turning the ball over, leading to a 17-3 Nets run to end the second quarter.

That set up the dramatic finish.

After a closely contested third quarter, Joe Johnson took over the fourth, helping the Nets score 38 fourth quarter points and closed the deal with a three pointer with a just under a minute left to play. With the Bulls unable to buy a bucket, Brooklyn turns the series into a best of three.

Luol Deng led the way for Chicago with 28 points and 6 rebounds, but most of the Bulls struggled again offensively. Jimmy Butler connected on just 3 of his 13 shots, Nate went 5 for 14, while Boozer finished with just 11 points and 10 rebounds after having a 4 for 13 showing.

“Execution hasn’t been great, and shots haven’t fallen” Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said, “We’re still turning the ball over a bit too much and they fed off the transition buckets”

The Nets shot over 50% from the field (36/72) and for the first time in the series the teams scored more than 90 points.

The series will now shift back to Chicago, where the Bulls will attempt to take the series lead before coming back here to Brooklyn for game 6.

Tough loss.... Judging from the boxscore it looks like both teams decided to say "fuck it, let's just stop playing defence!"

Gibson beasting off the bench, near triple-double. (Y) Too bad it came in a loss though...

Pretty much what happened in the 4th unfortunately, both sides caught fire and just kept gunning till the finish :facepalm2:

Weird thing is that he's actually more productive off the bench than when I put him in as a starter :?

Noah, Butler shines as Bulls take 3-2 series lead
Game Story | Box Score | Team Stats | Player of the Game

Image
Butler dominated on the defensive end with 4 steals and 3 blocks

Chicago, IL -- With their most reliable offensive options struggling to buy a basket, it seemed as though the Chicago Bulls were out of ammo against the persistent Nets.

Not so fast, Brooklyn. There’s still the Tom Thibodeau special.

    Defense.

After giving up 97 points in their game 4 loss, the league’s best defensive team in the regular season turned it back up to their usual standards.

Led by another tenacious effort from Joakim Noah and a career night from sophomore Jimmy Butler, the Chicago Bulls locked down on defense and just put out enough offense to take home the 90-83 victory for the series lead.

Noah finished with 16 points and 15 rebounds on a perfect 5 for 5 shooting from the field while the second year swingman Butler scored a career playoff high 17 points on 6 for 9 shooting alongside 4 steals and 3 blocks.

“Just all heart, man” Noah said, “We play with a lot of heart, Jimmy played his [expletive] off and really slowed their guards down. He deserves all the credit in the world”

Brooklyn’s Joe Johnson, who scored a game high 31 points in the Nets’ game 4 victory, was held to 8 for 18 shooting from the field and finished with 18 points. Deron Williams had a near triple-double with 17 points, 11 assists and 7 rebounds, but also struggled in the face of the Bulls defense, going 6 for 16 from the floor, missing on all three of his three-point attempts.

All this helped Chicago compensate for the offensive struggles from Luol Deng and Carlos Boozer. Deng finished with just 3 field-goals on 16 attempts, missing all 5 of his three-point attempts and ending up with a pedestrian 7 points while Boozer went 6 for 18 from the field and ended up with 12 points and 6 rebounds.

However, the Bulls did reap positive contributions from their bench, as Nate Robinson finally shook off his shooting woes and put in 15 points as a reserve, shooting 50% (5/10) from the floor and a perfect 5 for 5 from the charity stripe. Gibson added 8 points and 6 rebounds, while veteran center Jermaine O’Neal grabbed 6 rebounds in a mere 11 minutes.

It was a miserable night out for the Nets, as even though they held the rebounding edge for the first time in this series, they were unable to force many Bulls turnovers and faced Chicago’s stingy half-court defense for most of the game instead of going out in transition. The Bulls loaded up in the paint and forced tough shots without fouling, as evident in the 28-10 free throw advantage as well as the 50-36 edge in points in the paint.

Brooklyn got just 2 points off turnovers after averaging just under 16 in the past 4 games. They had 21 points off turnovers when they won on the road here in game 1.

The potential series clinching game 6 will be held in Brooklyn.

Just one more solid game from Gibson and Robinson and you'll be set.

Also I love how you're absolutely working Luol Deng to the bone in classic Thibodeau fashion. No wonder the guy has been playing like ass recently, he's running on fumes at this point.
