Online Series (AVGN, Nostalgia Critic, web comics etc)

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

I'm guessing it's just a joke about how Kyle hasn't appeared in any videos for a while, which tied in nicely with the resurrection code.

Still loving the new Nostalgia Critic episodes. Changing up the format and including some skits has definitely turned out to be a good way of keeping things fresh, as was removing the cut-off date. His jab at fans who have been complaining about the white background in the new reviews was great.

That's pretty cool that he actually got to feature Lloyd Kaufman, who reminds me a lot of Mel Brooks. Great episode, probably his grossest ending to date though.

Solid list. I definitely agree with Doug on the difficulty of putting together a top 10 (or in this case, 11) for a show like South Park.

Another great NC Editorial from Doug: Is Parody Dead?

I still feel that the first two Scary Movies were enjoyable, though many of the references will be lost on viewers who weren't around at the time they were made; definitely a weakness of that approach to parody. As the series went on and the genre expanded, the parodies certainly became more shallow.

Sounds like it was a bit of an ordeal, but fortunately they all came through it alright. Congrats to James and Mrs Nerd!

Doug Walker as himself is reviewing every episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender(The TV animation) to prepare for the abomination that was the movie that has come out based on the show. I have watched the whole Avatar cartoon and it's a good show so hopefully Doug doesn't criticize it too much.

I never watched the series, so I must admit I've been giving those vlogs a miss.

So is Doug Walker, he is going to watch the entire Avatar for the first time.

Good episode, always nice to get a new one. The "James & Mike Play" videos have been enjoyable as well.

I hate how Mike always compare the games he reviews to the "NES/classic" era of a game or a show. Like how in his Fall of Cybertron only G1 fans will like the game, well I didn't grow up with the G1 era of Transformers but I still like the games. In his Ducktales written review he said that it will only work as a remaster if it went the Megaman 9/10 route of it being like the NES era of gameplay, that's basically saying all of the games that was in the NES should always be in NES form.
