Trading players through editing the databases can be problematic because of the way staff are assigned to train players. I'd recommend avoiding it, in this case you'll need to restore from a working backup of your Dynasty.

Yes, that data can be found in the Teams tab. Once again though, be wary when editing a Dynasty save already in progress as tinkering with that stuff can cause problems.

1. How do I change a free agent to retired?
2. I created a new team and a few new players. I followed the ReadMe instruction on how to duplicate a player, but it won't let me add the new players into my new team.
Please help.
Thanks!

1. I'm not sure you can actually do that in the Editor. In DB Commander, just locate the player and change their TEAM from 32 to 50.

2. I still prefer to create teams the old way, creating any required players in-game. If I need to duplicate a player, I'll just create a temporary player and then copy over all of the attributes of the player I want to duplicate manually.

Please edit your previous post rather than double posting.

You don't edit player faces with this tool; that is done by editing the texture files. Please see the Tutorials sections for more information on that.

Also, more information on Codebase Errors:

Overall ratings need to be recalculated in-game. Editing a player in-game will do that automatically; you don't need to make any further changes, bringing them up in Edit Player then clicking Done to save all changes will force the recalculation.

Great job Ayiep!! This isn't a bug but can I make a suggestion? It pertains to the drop down boxes for "Birth Town" and "Birth State". Would it be possible to have the towns and states in alphabetical order? Other than that, your program rocks!!

I don't know if you're taking suggestions at this time, but I have one: in the teams tab, an edit team's shoe drop down box would be wonderful. Having finished editing a dynasty roster of mine through the dbf, while having the editor open on the right since the shoe previews are not accurate for user-created material (or not in my case anyway) I had to assign a shoe to a player and then copy that shoes ID to the team's shoe ID in two separate windows. Which I must admit was bothersome for me.

How do you move a player to the retired team? I tried to right click and "move to team 2" method and it doesn't do anything.

It's been awhile since Ayiep reply to any question or suggestion regarding his editor so i think he already retired. But to answer your question mike9472, just like what Andrew mention in his post above just use DB Commander and look for the player you want to place in retired list and change his team number to 32.
Just to proved that your a real men you don't need to bang up different girls every night, being loyal to just one girl is already man enough... oh yeah!!!

Sounds like there's an issue with the database you're editing. I've never encountered any codebase errors using the Editor.

Like I said, I haven't ever run into that issue with the Editor. However, if in doubt, use DB Commander.

It's been a year since anyone has posted in this thread, but I am hoping some are still monitoring it. Can this editor be used to add or change the player photo, and if not, how can that be accomplished?

There's a tutorial for creating custom portraits in the Wiki. It doesn't have anything to do with this editor.

Yes, I understand, but the tutorial you refer to was made some time ago, and this is newer. I wanted to see if the author of the software had added that functionality. The tutorial you referenced does not explain how to extract .big files. I used EAGRAPH to open the .viv file and extract the .big file, but then what program to extract the four files inside?

I think the wiki assumes everyone has read everything in the forums, and so does not always mention, or link to programs needed to accomplish the task.

There are also many references to a "Tutorials" section on the website, that seems to no longer exist.

I create a new player "Kentavious Caldwell-Pope" but when I add the player to a team it shows up with Aaron McKie's info. This also happens when you search from a player at the bottom, and then try to add the found player to a team. Only when you scroll through the list, find the player manually can you then add him to a team without it being Aaron McKie.

I assume it probably has to do with the hyphen in his name? (Kentavious Caldwell-Pope)

The Tutorials sections most certainly exist. They're subsections of their respective game Forums, which appear above all other posts in the Forum. Can't miss them.

.big files can be opened with BIGGui, which is available in the Downloads section (under General Downloads). It can be used for importing and exporting.

The Wiki resources certainly could stand to be updated, but Wikis are intended to be community projects, so we certainly invite anyone with the know-how to contribute.

While this editor does support player movement, I recommend doing as much as possible in-game, and only using external editors (such as this one, or DB Commander) to edit what isn't accessible.
