Hate to break the flow of a thread, but as a Team Member, I wanted to clarify a few things.
1) GamingElite's initial post would be all fine and dandy IFF:
a) Pooh's work was claiming to go for realism.
b) The tone was a bit better.
Your post's tone fucked up all the feedback you had to give, which was valid as far as realism goes. But yeah, sometimes people prefer "impressive"/"eye-pleasing" over "realistic".
2) Pooh, "don't like it, don't download it" isn't a good response either in my book. Then again, I guess if the original post's tone was different, you would take the feedback more seriously and respond in a different manner.
3) GamingElite, "dick riders"? Armchair moderation by calling for other members to get moderated because you did? Seriously? There's a team running the forum, we don't like to be told our jobs. You had my support until I read those things. You get offended by "hater" but "dick riders" should earn you respect points? Come on man. You're just digging your own hole.
4) qaws23, GamingElite initially gave feedback that I wouldn't describe as hateful. His later posts didn't do him any favors, but please, let's not resort to name-calling when another person does.
In any case, public quarrels will not be tolerated, nor will armchair moderation. If you have an issue with a member and you're not a Team Member, you take care of it quietly and privately instead of derailing the thread. That means either PM the member, report the post if you feel it breaks the rules, or PM a Team Member or Moderator if you feel you're being harassed.
This issue is DONE. No more public posts about it. Only reason I decided to post this is for it to serve as a lesson to everyone participating.
