They were talking on ESPN radio about this deal today. They seemed like this was just the outline of a possible trade that is being disscused but that chances of it happening I think are pretty slim. If Wally can get heathly, he can be an all-star caliber player (see 2-3 years ago). and if Boston loses Blount Kandi man might be the best option. He has talent and potential to be a better center in the league, which is pretty slim (center talent level). Ainge is stupid even to do something like this and Seattle is very interested in Paul Pierce but Boston is not going to accept Ray Allen in a deal for him. Sounds like they want a big man in return too (Kandi).
I agree. This trade could very well happen. Boston is definitely on the losing end of this deal if ever it pushes through.

Remember now, he traded away Antoine Walker for Raef Lafrentz. I'm sure he could of gotten more than that.
Walker, albeit being a versatile guy, is a low fg% PF, who fancies himself playing 25 ft away from the basket, and gets constantly burned on defence... (Wait, that's Walter Mc Carthy!)
Doesn't seem like a good combination, to me.
LaFrentz will bounce back from injury this season, and should he play like he did in Denver he would look pretty good to me.
Besides that was a deal that brought Welsh to the C's! How fitting is that?

I hope the deal goes down. Although Doc Rivers will again be coaching the worst team in the NBA including the Bobcats, Minnesota will be an undeniable force. Cassell, Allen, Sprewell, and KG? this is truly an all-star lineup. Now if they could only get a dominant bigman. I think Dampier would be a good choice, but if they could get McDysse (sp?) they would almost guarantee a ring.

Chances of this are real slim I've heard of the past day. Sid Hartman, a columist, said trade rumors for Allen are false and the club is looking to resign it's players, not make trades. Although, they are talking and I bet McHale is thinking about pulling the trigger I just don't see it happening from the Wolves side of it. They need to improve our weaknesses not improve our strengths. (jump shots they good at, inside presence they bad at)

I think the biggest hangup in this deal is the Celtics, not the T-Wolves. Ainge would get stoned to death if he traded PP for a bunch of crapshoots and not upgrade his rebounding/interior defense substantially. PP is worth far more than Wally and Kandi Man. He's about on par with Allen (probably a bit inferior as a player, but younger, slightly smaller salary).
