A fifth straight title in six or seven hard fought games seems like a fitting conclusion to this Dynasty thread. :)

I really need to win game 5 to have a chance because the last 2 games will be in Miami. :?

Thanks. Never though I'd keep it going for this long. Guess it shows that I'm still enjoying it after 2 years.

They've already won 2 games. Isn't that enough? :P

Andrew wrote:A fifth straight title in six or seven hard fought games seems like a fitting conclusion to this Dynasty thread. :)

It panned out that way in my last dynasty thread. Let's hope I can keep the streak going here. Actually makes me realise that I've won 7 straight championships between the two games. Guess that's why I feel I need to start with a struggling team on 2k13.

Thanks! It's been an amazing ride for five seasons and it's nice that people found it interesting enough to follow. I've never really done it for any recognition or anything, I just wanted it to look nice and share my dynasty game on here. :)

I had to stop myself from going through the off-season. I guess I'll leave that for another day if I decide to revisit it.

I'm preparing my 2k13 association now. Hopefully it can be half as interesting as this one. I actually considered duplicating the rosters from this game onto 2k13 and 'continuing' this, but I think it's best for me if I start something new. Plus I couldn't really be bothered. :P

Congrats on another memorable dynasty (y)

I'm interested to see who you've chosen for your 2k13 association. Whoever it is, I'm sure it'll be another quality thread.

I'm considering the same thing when I'm done with my dynasty. It's going to be a lot of work though.

^ It would be a huge amount of work for you considering there is like no real players left on your game :P

My new team will be the squadron from a major American city which has a regionally significant nickname. (If that narrows it down)

Top job on the five! I thought it was a really cool addition listing all the players that won a ring with the club during that time.

Well done on such a successful story!

They had 5 chances. :P

As much as I'm loving nearly everything about 2k13 so far, I'll always have a fondness for Live 10. I remember when I first bought the game, I was really excited and played it for hours at a time. It was just so fun having a basketball game again after more than a decade.

I liked keeping track of my records and achievements in this thread. I figured it added a bit of back story to the whole thing. (Y)

After playing half a season with the Wizards I've realised how lucky I was having this amazing team (and how stacked it was, but I stand by the individual deals that created it. It's hard to judge them by how good these players are IRL nowadays. Especially considering Derrick Rose would have never signed a 1 year MLE deal with Milwaukee and then re-signed to begin with).

I also realise that a game where I had consecutive 60+ win seasons and won 5 straight championships might have gotten a bit tedious for readers. I tried to keep it as detailed as possible and just hope it was interesting enough for everyone.

It's funny how buying this game led me to following the Thunder in real life. Truth be told I only picked them as my dynasty team originally because they had the most cap room. But I was lucky to unintentionally fall onto the bandwagon the season that they started to get good.

Thanks for the HOF shouts. It was never why I did this, but I appreciate it all the same. :)

I was going to do a final updated version of those dynasty summaries that I've done before, but I haven't had the time or patience. There's a lot of info here to get through

Just wondering, if the write-up was almost a game-by-game summary of the 5 seasons and ended up being like 50 million words, would everyone read it or should I just save time and keep it to the main events of the season (trades, all-star weekend, milestone games) and leave the more detailed parts for the playoffs?

I'm planning on breaking it up with pictures too btw...
