Yeah but Lue was playing for Orlando in the East and Mobley was playing in the West for Houston with Yao and Francis...
I believe you can't compare numbers like that...but that's just my opinion
Thu Jun 24, 2004 12:21 am
Lue is good...so is Cat but Lue has done it in the spotlight, proving he was a good role player complimenting stars...during the NBA Finals with Kobe/Shaq and then playing/complimenting Michael Jordan in Washington.

Lue was never good,he just had his 15 minutes of fame in the finals 3 years ago,and it was actually 1 or 2 games that he actually did well.He is really only backup material unless he decides he wants to be good this year.

we will see what happens, but if this deal goes through im putting my money that it is definetely a good one for the rockets, and i know you're a rockets fan so once your new dynasty starts succeeding i know you'll be happy eventually, so lets just hope that happens. Steve francis is a 20 6 and 6 player with barely 400 shooting, basically he's a shooting guard in a point guards body. Tmac is a 30 5 and 5 man who is basically a 450+ man once he has a decent inside out combo, and he is a small forward in a shooting guards body. I take 30 5 and 5 and better shot percentage over 20 6 and 6 and poor shot selection and lots of turnovers any days. And even if you are still in doubt, well, in doubt go with height.
Like i said you shouldnt doubt tmacs ability to share the ball with yao, like i said we know that he can cuz he did with vince, then he wanted to show what he can do and he did, now he wants team success and im willing to believe that he could blend his two past experiences together.
I read somewhere that houston was always tmac's only choice from the start.
If orlando thought tmac or shaq were whiners wait'll they get a whiff of, ahem, "the franchise". this guy starts whining before he even plays a single game with his new teams.

Looks like the deal is pretty much done
MSNBC wrote:After weeks of anticipation and a lot of back and forth, the blockbuster trade sending Tracy McGrady to the Houston Rockets appears close to being final.
Under the terms of the trade, the Magic will send guard McGrady, forward Juwan Howard and guard Tyronn Lue to the Rockets for guard Steve Francis, guard Cuttino Mobley and center Kelvin Cato, according to a source that says the trade will be announced Wednesday.

Hmmmmmmm now this is interesting.
T-Mac out west, with a big man and a decent supporting cast.
you know if he grows up they may get somewhere.
but the Magic look pretty good.
i see them as:
C: Cato
F: Gooden
F: Howard
G: Mobley
G: Francis
Hill,Bogans,Varejao off the bench
Hil wont start, not straight away anyway.

thats not including jameer nelson too

I like their potential lineup, but Steve really dotn need to be the point guard at all.But u cant put Mobley on the bench either.Jameer Nelsons should be a starter

John Weisbrod is an asshole... he's just playing hard to get to see if other teams offer better players...

The rockets lineup would be much better then,if they can get a decent pg from free agency

NNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
FUCK T-MAC...eh,atleast the team colours are ok for me
Wed Jun 30, 2004 7:54 am
Looks like the deal went through. Hopefully this will give T-Mac a happier environment to work in and Francis a chance to 'start over' with the Magic.
I think it's a good deal for them both

As I said in the other thread, I still think it's a good deal for the Rockets on paper, but seems to go against their plan to make Yao the main man.
