talk about Posey's FG%.... u want to know why he is shooting at such a pathetic percentage? simple..... when u are a 2nd option in a very bad team, u ought to get lots of double/ triple team which make it harder for u to get ur shot off.... thus the shooting percentage goes down.....
look at Posey first season, though not good, he is capable of shooting above 40% which is what most guards % are at......

OK...first season...42.9%...second season...41.2%...third season...37.6%...this season...37.3%. What do those stats tell you? James Posey is a good shooter? I don't see it.
Glyyde wrote:he is not the kind of players that is capable of creating his own shots.... that's for sure.....
Glyyde wrote:a player that is capable of shooting 80+% from the line will neva be a lousy shooter.....
Llamaj Mim wrote: Well, J-Will (from Memphis) shoots over 96% from the line.
well, all I meant to say from my first post in this thread is just to say that if Posey has an open shot like in his rookie season, he can be a decent shooter at 43%.....
if they can't even drain open shots, then u can call them bad shooters......
shooters like Allan Houston who is considered one of the best pure shooter has a career FG% of 45%, compare to the pathetic shooter James posey who is shooting 40% (who has to create his own shots while in Denver and has poor shot selection).....
HoopsHype.com wrote:The league office covertly apologized (by e-mail) to 26 teams for authorizing last week's 4-way trade linking Houston (James Posey), Philly (Kenny Thomas) and Denver (picks and fringe personnel). As it turns out, Art Long, signed Sept 30 by the 76ers, was ineligible to be traded (anywhere, much less to the Nuggets) until Dec. 30. According to the rules, free agents signed during the off-season can't be dealt until Dec. 15, or for three months, whichever comes last.
on another hand, I watched the Sonics game yesterday, heck, Brent Barry miss open shots!!!! does that means he sucks? I saw him miss quite a few.......
check this line : Houston dun need Posey to be an offensive threat,
he just need to be able to drain open shots created from his teamates
.... he might be just as bad as u say.....
I believe a player shooting around 40-45% is considered as decent shooter, 45-50% is called good shooter... 50% and above, that is an extremely good shooter for sure......
u seems to misunderstood all my post.....
sad things is that there are ppl who can't accept what other ppl thinks....
at least I do accept what ppl say here,
too bad some ppl here just wun accept and seems to reply with offensive post..... "thank god for me, I dun think like them"
