v0.6 released!
So far so easy. Association files seem to have all the information we've decoded just 8 bytes later than a roster file. So I've tried to add Association file support, but keep in mind this is completely untested and very experimental. Keep backups.

Kudos to DukeW74 for helping.

Great, I will try to get a couple of CMG's sorted out later in the day.
Thanks Leftos

Edit: I tested it by increasing shot inside to 92 and all went well. :D

iirc Vlad said that the roster is preserved in the MP, Ass, and Sea (ha) files

MyPlayer\MyCaeer files
http://www.mediafire.com/?6h7939814cu7p88

Shot Inside changed from 67 to 68 as marked per filename

JaoSming Yes as far as I can tell they are but it seems to be a different animal as far as reading the file.

Crap, I just realized I screwed up. I changed MP rating. Name of Earl Robinson which I highly doubt you will be able to find. I'm sorry for wasting your time. I will try to edit Jrue Holiday and post it again.

Are you even allowed to change other players' ratings in MyCareer?

If you're not, just try saving a MyCareer save as soon as you can, with the default roster, so that I can look up any instances of the first bytes of Jrue Holiday's ratings. If they're just byte-shifted like Association saves are compared to a roster, they should be piss-easy to find.

DukeW74 wrote:Marek You must have a "Names.txt" file inside the same folder as the Roster Editor. Its all in the thread except I didn't see anywhere mentioned that it seems like the tool needs to be in My Documents in order to read the "Names.txt" This might have been just my PC but when I had it in Progtram Files it did not read the "Names.txt"

Path for XP
Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\NBA 2K13 Roster Editor
Path for Vista\Win7
Users\User\Documents\NBA 2K13 Roster Editor

I am including my file, but this is based on the original DVD roster, if you are using another the names will most likely be wrong. It is not totally complete and I am still checking it for errors in spelling and mismatches (ID vs CF ID).

Good Call! (Y) And great file Leftos, hopefully team colors for accessories can be changed in the near future! :applaud:

Is there a way you could include a shoe assigner? Some of the guys in the NBA recently switched brands.

I have no experience with 360 Association saves (because I don't have a 360 to begin with), so I'll need more information from someone that can tell me exactly what i need to do to make it compatible.

Pulled from Vlad's posthope it helps

The manual way to fix it is to open a file with any Hex Editor and change the first four bytes symbol representation to "CON " (without quotes, the last character is space).

Sir you are a saint :)

I don't have time to test anything out for a few hours but I was able to load MyCareer and I found my player just fine. I am kinda going out on a limb here but My Player ID is 1035 with a self input 777 CF ID and I noticed in the DVD roster the ID 1035 is ID 0 so I am assuming all My Players are going to be 1035 unlike last year when that number changed depending on something I could never grasp. Time and testing will let me know.

Thank You

Nice to know. I think 1035 is the first CAP ID anyway, so maybe if you have some CAPs in the roster beforehand, your MyPlayer gets the first free CAP ID.

You are right, 1035 is the first CAP ID so any other creation of a player will get the next ID and etc...

if you got the REDitor, open a 2k12 roster and change 2 consecutive jersey collars, save as a new roster
open both rosters in NBA 2K12, and resave them with new filenames (or overwrite, whichever)
do a hex comparison of the two files, see what changes
decompress the 2K13 roster.iff
hex edit the 2k13 roster.iff and attempt to find the same type of stuff as what you see changed in the 2k12 rosters
make an edit
start 2k13 offline (delete your online data too from the roaming folder)
load up, it shouldnt have to, but hit reset roster
save roster in 2k13
send that 2k13 roster to leftos.
Opinions are my own.
