McGrady officially wants out

This has been discussed before but now it's confirmed.

There are endless trade possibilities.

I think Chicago should pursue him. They do have 3rd pick and could be willing to give it up along with a crop of other players. T-Mac has already expressed his desire to play for the Bulls.

Just what Chicago needs, another highschool player. But this one I'm sure they want to take.

Other news.. he's talking crap about Okafor. One day they'll meet up :D

Sat Jun 19, 2004 12:14 pm

I don't usually post here but there's no way he would go to Chicago. Sorry Psycho Jackal and kobe4mvp, I had to respond to this guy. This T-Mac to Chicago rumour is the dumbest I've heard in weeks.

Sat Jun 19, 2004 12:21 pm

Tracy should come back to the Raps. Jalen would have some fun playing with those two. Then if they could grab a decent big man with potential they could make the playoffs. :o

Sat Jun 19, 2004 12:28 pm

He needs to stay one more year.Grant Hill should come back and they about to Omeka. And they gonna get some decent people. He needs to stick around

McGrady for Shaq :D
Lakers resign Kobe
Kobe+McGrady on the same squad!

lol, anyway this should be a VERY interesting offseason.
Shaq wants out
McGrady wants out
Kobe is a free agent
Iverson is tradeable
Keynon Martin is Unrestricted Free Agent
Indiana expects some big movement
Steve Francis is no longer the franchise
Pistons are the new team to beat

So many things, so many possibilities, imagine if McGrady and Shaq end up on the same team  haha, then it will be Shaq'a'mac time :D

Here is some news from the Grizzlies. Iverson will be in Memphis on Wednesday for his birthday party bash or something they having and he suppose to meet with Jerry West while he is here.

As for T-Mac, Mike Miller quoted in today's Commerical Appeal (Memphis newspaper) "I've been trying to get Tracy to come for the past 6 months. Maybe I'll send him a new t-shirt".

Grizzlies also have a great chance at getting Shaq, because we dont have any stars on our team and he wants his own team plus the only 2 people he respect are Jerry West and Phil Jackson? What can you say?

Sat Jun 19, 2004 1:11 pm

lol, Grizzlies are the new talk around the town getting a super star now huh
I guess its possible for them to get anyone, but they will have to trade quite a few people and change there 10man rotation to about 8

yea it will be tough, but i think JW will have something up his sleeve either way. We are also more than 10 men deep, so we may still have a 10 man rotation if we trade 2 or 3 players for 1.

Add Vince Carter to that list but it's almost impossible to get equal value for him.

Not that it wouldn't be good to have a player like T-Mac on the Bulls, but I can't really see him enjoying playing for Chicago. He didn't seem too fond of being on a losing team in Orlando, and Chicago would have to give up some of their key players to get him, leaving him with little help and the Bulls with few ways to get him some support.

Realistically, the Bulls would have to give up the third pick and guys like Curry, Chandler and Crawford, which means there's no talent coming from the draft or other trades. T-Mac would be an expensive player to acquire and rightfully so, but he can't carry the Bulls alone.

Since he isn't all that keen on enduring losing seasons, what's preventing him from opting out next year if he's traded to Chicago and the situation isn't much better? The Bulls would have given up so much for one season in which nothing was accomplished, left with a roster that is even worse than the 1998/1999 squad. At least that team had Harper and Kukoc.

As I've told you via PM Dipset, you don't have to stop posting, the others that lost are posting just as much.

T-Mac to Indiana would be scary, T-Mac to Chicago won't happen, T-Mac to LA for Shaq, whilst playing along side Kobe would be a blunder, *sigh* One helluva off-season, it better not disappoint.

Sat Jun 19, 2004 9:44 pm

Trading Shaq for McGrady is the dumbest thing the Lakers could do at this moment, you will get 2 superstar shooting guards who both have big egos, and 1 of them wants to be the leader on the team. That wont work out at all, I think the most realistic trade would be the one which sends him to Indiana.

Sat Jun 19, 2004 9:47 pm

i think t-mac could even join the pistons...he said he likes Mo-Town :D
hmm wonder if nuggets have a chance...i doubt it...cause getting t-mac will mean trading off dre,re-signed camby and probably lenard, birdman or skita ....which is awful :(

dunno abt shaq....maybe he'll go coach LSU :P ....i think he may get traded to kings for vlade divac :P

francis will prolly be traded too...cause yao needs someone who'll give it up to him more...francis to Bobcats

kobe is gonna be a laker or a clipper...prolly a clipper...i really dont see anyone have a chance of getting him....

oh yeah arent yall forgetting Steve Nash too....hes a big free agent...and wat abt guyz like Q-Rich :P

hmmmm therez possiblitly vince could get traded out too....for kobe or maybe shaq even....

grizzlies will have to give up gasol, battier and possibly two others if they want shaq.....i dont think they should cause they are fine the way they are.....they dont need The Diesel imo

well good luck to all teams in free agency....

Peace
NJ

Najira are you crazy??
Vince Carter for Kobe or Shaq  ...that would be something really stupid.
Im not sure Kobe will go to the Clippers either, ok he wants to be the franchise player but that doesn't mean he will join any team willing to take him...
Grizzlies need to make some moves, there not far from being a contender and i think West knows what he's doing...

Sun Jun 20, 2004 12:37 am

The whole world will discover how much of whiny crybaby T-Mac is, I remember him saying he wanted a challenge, well stay in Orlando and finish what you started.

Bird has said O'Neal (Jermaine) is untouchable regarding trade talks.

Sun Jun 20, 2004 1:08 am

Ron artest could be traded and his value is pretty high I think (defensive player of the year)

Sun Jun 20, 2004 3:31 am

T-mac has expressed high interest in coming to LA either as a Laker or a Clipper. He's always seen a Laker playoff games according to various people.

Sun Jun 20, 2004 3:36 am

Yes, it's true he's hinted at wanting to be a Laker...but that was largely due to the fact that he wants to play along side Shaq. I don't think he wanted to be a Laker to play along side Kobe, but hey...that's just my assumption. :)

Sun Jun 20, 2004 4:21 am

In case Kobe stays in LA, I hope they have learned a lesson from this year (Team>Stars) so don't bring T-Mac.
If they want to rebuild around Kobe they better bring the right players...

Sun Jun 20, 2004 7:46 am

Trade Shaq to Orlando! T-Mac would stay :P ...but I don't know about the contracts :?

Sun Jun 20, 2004 7:49 am

Hill + others = Shaq's contract I thinks.

This would let Shaq + McGrady get together. :o

Sun Jun 20, 2004 7:57 am

Q-rich said he wants to be a Clipper for life.
