Possible players that Charlotte will take:
Atlanta: None
Boston: Brandon Hunter
Chicago: Make Fizer unrestricted
Cleveland: Make Ruben Boumtje Boumtje unrestricted or take Kapono
Denver: Make Trepagnier unrestircted, why not
Indiana: Jamison Brewer or James Jones
Clippers: Make Dooling unrestricted
Memphis: I'm thinking Dahntay Jones, but Troy Bell is very possible
Miami: Make Loren Woods unrestricted, why not try to get a center at least
New Jersey: Make Tamar Slay unrestricted
New Orleans: Making Courtney Alexander unrestricted could be a possibility
Orlando: I'd go with just getting Reece Gaines, but making Stevenson unrestricted could happen too.
Philly: Greg Buckner?
Portland: Qyntel Woods
Sacramento: Gerald Wallace (they shouldn't even think before they do this)
Toronto:???????????
Utah: Pavlovic wouldn't be bad
Washington: Stackhouse? or Juan Dixon
Lineup: (Draft pick Shaun Livingston, Childress or Iguodala)
PG: Reece Gaines (1,212,200)
SG: Dahntay Jones (1,143,360)
SF: Stackhouse (7 million)
PF: Brandon Hunter (620,046)
C: ???????
Others:
Gerald Wallace (1,377,045)
Qyntel Woods (1,172,160)
Greg Buckner (2,880,000)
Total: 15,404,811 million
Now approximating that their cap is 30 million, then they have 14,595,189 left, about 2.9 million goes to their draft pick, so they have 11,695,189 for 4 more roster spots to make them have 12 players, that's pretty good. One spot will also be taken by their second round draft pick.
Guys they'll let go:
James Jones I don't know man, too many SF's
Pavlovic still too many SF's, but you never know.
All other players will just be made unrestricted FA's.
Unrestricted guys to look at: Marcus Fizer, Ruben Boumtje Boumtje, Loren Woods, Tamar Slay, Courtney Alexander

at C, the Bobcats could probably draft Potapenko, Tsakalidis or Skinner. Tsakalidis may not be picked as the Grizzlies also offer Lorenzen Wright (high salary but maybe a good trade value ?), Troy Bell (promising youngster), and Dontae Jones (maybe less promising than Bell but coming from Duke). So it's "almost" sure that Tsakalidis won't be picked.
Potapenko is a strong guy but also have a big salary for the Bobcats. Brian Skinner seems to be a more probable choice, even if he's not the type of player the Bobcats are looking after

Forgot to explain, Brian Skinner will opt out of his contract before the expansion draft, therefore he will not be eligible to be drafted by the Bobcats.

Maybe they could get:
C: Wright (Memphis)
PF: Fizer (Bulls)
SF: Deng (Draft)
SG: Stevenson (Magic)
PG: Dixon (Wizards)
If they're all available!

Yea, Fizer they would just make an unrestricted FA, so if they draft him any other team but the Bulls can get him.
Stevenson same thing, but any other team but the Magic.

I don't see them taking Stackhouse because I see them taking Dixon. And since you can only take one player per team I see them taking Juan from Washington.

the grizz took a risk on wright, but most likely they won't take him because of his contract. they are better plaers in the draft with a contract like he's thats why they say he will most likely stay a grizz. what im concerned about is troy bell. i really want him to stay a grizz. as for dahntay, you can let him go because he cant even hardly play. we gave him a chance to play on our team and he cant even hit a single jump shot or FT. I also hope we can hold on to theron smith.

I see that too, but just from looking at it now I'm realizing that taking Stack wouldn't be that bad on them, it wouldn't hit their salary cap like taking Antoine or something.
Also it's been rumoured that Stack is back in All-Star form, and is even in better shape than he was before, but I still see Dixon as a higher possibility.

Okay here's the list of players that people might think is reasonable, but the Bobcats will not take unless they are bribed to:
Chucky Atkins: 4,200,200 million, is 29 years old, and Brandon Hunter is available
Antoine Walker: 14.6 million, that's half their cap
Tony Delk: He's older, and their are a lot of young guards being left unprotected.
Maurice Taylor: 8,450,000 contract
Austin Croshere: 8,260,000, let's get serious here
Scot Pollard: 5,792,250, not good enough to take that much cap from them
Bo Outlaw: 5,355,000 yea right, and especially not with Troy Bell and Dahntay Jones being left unprotected
Lorenzen Wright: 7,150,000 same as Outlaw, yea right
Brian Grant: 13,346,250
Eddie Jones: 13,440,000
Marc Jackson: Could happen, but 4.2 million, and Greg Buckner is available
Howard Eisley: 6,375,000
Malik Rose: 5,462,500
Charlie Ward: has a player option and will likely opt out before the expansion draft.

this is a nice mock. i've seen something very similar at another forum hehe
but i can see the bobs taking stack or walker and peddling him off to another team in a prearragned deal

If it's exactly the same then it was likely me that posted it too, I'm a little weary on the Greg Buckner pick though, I'm thinking they might not select anyone from the Sixers.
I also think Adrian Griffin is a possiblity of being picked up too.
I'll have to revise my list since I forgot that the Bobcats have to draft a minimum of 14 players.

Revised - Charlotte Mock Expansion Draft, by Me
Charlotte has to take a minimum of 14 players, and can take a maximum of 29 players, they can waive the contracts of players they draft in the expansion draft as they will. If they draft restricted free agents it makes the player become unrestricted and unable to sign with their previous team. The draft begins.
Boston: Brandon Hunter 6'7 PF
Chicago: Marcus Fizer 6'8 PF
Cleveland: Kapono 6'8 F-G
Denver: Trepagnier 6'4 G
Houston: Adrian Griffin 6'5 G-F
Indiana: James Jones 6'8 F or Primo Brezec 7'1 F-C
LA Clippers: Eddie House 6'1 G or Predrag Drobnjak 6'11 C-F
Memphis: Dahntay Jones 6'6 G-F or Troy Bell 6'1 G
Miami: Loren Woods 7'2 C
New Jersey: Tamar Slay 6'8 G
New Orleans: Courtney Alexander 6'5 G
Orlando: Reece Gaines 6'4 G
Portland: Qyntel Woods 6'8 G-F
Sacramento: Gerald Wallace 6'7 F
Seattle: Richie Frahm 6'5 G
Utah: Sasha Pavlovic 6'7 F-G
Washigton: Stackhouse 6'6 G-F or Juan Dixon 6'3 G
These are the players I feel are their choices.
Their's no harm in drafting some players just to give them choices, and then they can waive their contracts later. Now the picks.
Brandon Hunter 6'7 F - This guy I'll say can do what Malik Rose would for them, and his contract will not labour them or stick with them for a long time. $620,046
Marcus Fizer 6'8 F - They'll make him an Unrestricted FA and then try to sign him in the market.
Kapono 6'8 G-F - I can also see them making Rubeun Boumtje Boumtje an unrestricted FA, but for now I'll go with this pick. $366,931
Trepagnier 6'4 G - Ill expect them to make him an Unrestricted FA, and they might not go after him because this draft is filled with Guards, and a 6'4 SG isn't the most appealing thing.
Primo Brezec 7'1 F-C - Now this one was hard, but the draft is filled with SF's, and their aren't too many big men, so it's of no harm to take him with his small contract. $1,554,326
Predrag Drobnjak 6'11 C-F - This was also a tough one because Drobnjak is 29 and making 2.8 million, but with the high amount of guards they don't need to take Eddie House or make Barnes or Dooling unrestricted especially since they could likely get Barnes or Dooling in the market anyways.
$2,812,500
Troy Bell 6'1 G - Now this one troubled me also, I think their's just as high a chance of them taking Jones as their is for Bell, but I'm leaning more to Bell at the moment. $1,381,920
Loren Woods 7'2 C - Loren is limited skill wise, but he's 7'2, and a Center, and they can make him and Unrestricted FA and maybe go for him in the market.
Tamar Slay 6'8 G -Their's been a lot of talk about Charlotte pursuing him, and I find base in it, they'll make him and Unrestricted FA, and look to sign him.
Reece Gaines 6'4 G - Stevenson and Zaza are possiblities, but he won't be easy to acquire in the market, getting Gaines would give them a player right away without them having to pursue him. $1,212,200
Qyntel Woods 6'8 G-F -Another Swingman, but that's what this draft is full of, Guards and Swingmen with potential, Charlotte will take him and work on him. $1,172,160
Gerald Wallace 6'7 F - This name surprised a lot of people and it should, this could be the chance Wallace has needed his whole career.
$1,377,045
Richie Frahm 6'5 G - Taking him will make him an Unrestricted FA, and I've wanted the Raptors to also look into him. Good defender, and can shoot the rock, not a bad addition to a team.
Sasha Pavlovic 6'7 F-G - Just like Gerald Wallace, Sasha is a must have, the Jazz's first round pick being unprotected? Weak defense, but has offensive skills and will definately improve, would be a great pick. $1,191,000
Jerry Stackhouse 6'6 G-F - Last but not least, another swingman, this one is very questionalbe, Stackhouse is not making too much, he has a 7 million dollar contract, it goes till 2006/2007, and is 7.5 million in 2006, and 8 million in 2007. He could be used to induce a trade, and their always the possiblity of waiving his contract, but if they need a scorer he would be good.
7,000,000
That's 15 players taken, one over the minimum.
Contracts Total: $18,688,128
This leaves them, with about 11,311,872 for FA's, and their draft pick will make about 2.9 million leaving them with about 8,411,872 for free agents and their second round pick.
Depth Chart:
Point Guards (2)- Gaines, Bell
Shooting Guards (2) - Qyntel Woods, Jerry Stackhouse
Small Forwards (3) - Kapono, Gerald Wallace, Sasha Pavlovic
Power Forwards (2) - Brandon Hunter, Primo Brezec
Centers (1) - Predrag Drobnjak
Total 10 players on their roster from the expansion draft, so to fill a 12 man roster they need two more players and their draft pick will fill one.
Then they have about 8,411,872 for maximum 4 more free agents (for a 15 man roster), and if they keep their second round draft pick, 3 more free agents, so about 3 million on 2 FA's, and 1 million on another.
They might possible waive the contracts of these players: Brezec and Kapono to get other players from the market because they have Gerald and Sasha at the 3, and Tamar Slay and Qyntel Woods can also backup the 3 in addition to the 2. Brezec is less likely but Marcus Fizer seems like a big possibilty for them to pickup from the FA market.
