The Bet(Don't worry Andrew, the consequences are not as bad)

Since all of you Piston fans think Game 1 means the Lakers aren't going to win. I want you to put your mouth where your talk is.

I'm taking Bets as to who will win. The Losers must erase their signature and avatars and replace them with Piston or Laker suck up Avatars and Siggy's.

Any Takers? Come on, this could be fun.

I can tolerate that - it's pretty much the same as the bets that took place in the old forum. But this is as far as it goes - no further consequences or stipulations.

A few suggestions and reminders:

1. The avatars/signatures must comply with the forum rules.
2. The losers of the bet should only have to change their sigs/avatars for 1-2 weeks - anything more than that seems a little excessive.
3. There is no flaming or constant abuse once the outcome is decided
4. The bet isn't NLSC sanctioned, so we won't be forcing anyone to do anything. But if you flame someone for not following through with the bet, you will be punished, since flames are against forum rules.

If this one gets out of hand, that's it. If bets are going to cause problems, then they will be prohibited. The terms of this one are a little better, but again, if it gets out of hand and causes problems, no more bets.

Betting (er something as far as I know I created on NLSC) was pretty successful back in the day, if you look through all the old forums you'll find people with names like "Mark Madsens Bitch" etc. So i cant see why it wouldnt work now, just dont bet ur first born son or anything stupid like that

i was watching a video for the twolves and they have this guy name johnny voss who goes to the games and he like is a media person. when he went to LA for one of the games against the twolves, he said that the lakers dont have fans! they just have people that wanna come to the games just so they can see stars which is true because before the team, it wasnt hardly nobody in their seats. the only reason i dont like the lakers is because people think their the best team ever in the NBA and thats not true!

Wrong, the Lakers do have fans. They just can't afford the seats. have you ever looked at Laker ticket prices? They are outrageous. Most of the people you see at the games are just bandwagoners... look up into the cheap seats and thats where the real fans are.
