(SOLVED) Live 06 sweat patch, is it compatible?

Postby Cpt(K) on Mon Mar 05, 2012 8:23 am

Is the Live 06 sweat patch, such as this one which I am about to post, which I copied and pasted from Jaosming's reply to a different thread in the live 06 section.

Compatible with Live 08? Or is there a version for Live 08? It looks rather nice, and I wanted to include it in my game. Image

Image Credits to Jaosming for these 2 screenshots.

Thank you Andrew.

The skin texture files in 06 were a little different. You might want to give these updates for 07 a try, I'm guessing they're compatible since 07 and 08 do use the same skin files:
2x Armbands, Arms & Tattoos Fix
Arm & Leg Sweat Patch

Can I use that ENSB series in live 07?

It doesn't work for me ...

Thank you for your replies. :bowdown2:

My specs aren't very good, but not very bad either. However I cannot run it on a decent frame rate when reflections or occlusions, which ever one is bound to the F10 Key, Motion blur and Depth Of Field I can handle to an extent. (Bloom runs well for me also, but it tends to be over-saturated)

I'm going to see what I can make out of those files I just downloaded. I'll post screenshots if something comes up wrong.

My apologies for not posting this sooner, I had been occupied with other things. So now I bring you my problem. Via Screenshots.

Black Patch on a player --> http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/51 ... t0983.png/

Some players don't have those annoying black patches --> http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/21 ... t0982.png/

Sweat patch messing around with a players asc --> http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/29 ... t0981.png/

As you can see, the sweat patch is working quite well, except for one thing. I keep getting black patches on various parts of a players body. Such as the right shoulder. Even on the Right arm pit at one time. So my question is, what solutions are there to this problem?

Thanks again! :bowdown2:

Are you using the 06 sweat patch? As I mentioned above, 06's arm textures are a little different, so that patch wouldn't be suitable.

Yes, I am using the ones you provided links to . .

They don't crash the game or anything, just a little annoying seeing black rectangles/squares on some of the players bodies. Other than that, it works fine. I think the original players, not from my Dynasty Rosters, Aren't affected by it much, if at all.

Fair enough. I'm guessing they're not 100% compatible, but it was worth a try.

I believe I may have had an accident . .

Turns out I probably did not have everything essential extracted into the sgsm folder. Well, now I am no longer seeing those black patches/spots on any player I have come across in the game. Just so happens they may be 100% compatible :shock:

However, that's for the sweat patch that has the 256k arms. The one with the 56k arms, made some accessories disappear, you could still see the sweat, and no black spots.

256k sweat arms Screenshots (No Black patches! :D ): http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/81 ... t0985.png/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/71 ... t0986.png/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/44 ... t0989.png/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/68 ... t0990.png/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/40 ... t0991.png/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/70 ... t0993.png/

EDIT: I totally recommend this patch. For NBA live 08 that is, I don't have 07 so I wouldn't really know . .

PS: I also wanted to know if anyone could upload a modified ENB series, that they think would be the best for LIVE 08, Modified as in not in it's original settings. Or you could tell me what works the best for you, when using an enb series for Live 08.

Oh, and I would like to thank you for replying to this thread, and for posting those links. :D

Also, you may encounter bugs when your players have tats that 2x . . I think that may have been one of my problems. Remove the tats, or change them to 1x and it should work fine.

This is what you're looking for?

PS: You may have problems with some players skin, I was placing the tats in my sgsm, went ingame and a few players limbs looked a bit messy, Looks like I have to adjust something. I'll repost when I find a solution to my problem. (Not everyone may have this problem)

Also, I would only use the first 2 links if your just interested in the sweat patch, be sure to extract the "plr.details" and anything else that is essential. example: "smparke_arm_tat.fsh" is not essential, however "plr.details" "armbase.fsh" "Plyrtat.viv" are essential, at least from what I've seen without using them. :cheeky:

I didn't extract somethings, and didn't get a desired result.

Ah . . if you wanted the result I have in the screenshots. What you should extract is the 2x armbands fixed. In it you'll see many armXXbase.fsh extract all of those to your sgsm folder, then you'll want to also extract the legXXbase.fsh from the other file.

Leave the armXXbase.fsh, as you already have them. WARNING: This may or may not be fully compatible with some Tattoos. I However am not having a problem with it, as of now.

UPDATED: Having a problem with some tattoos, still looking into it if it has something to do with a tattoos size . . (Like the default tattoos in game work fine with the patch, but some user created materials make the players limbs look messy) Essentially, because the sweat patch is 2x, the tattoos need to be as well.
