New Bobcats Site

Postby -[TD]- on Sun May 30, 2004 10:45 pm

I have just started making a Charlotte Bobcats site, I will be adding more to the site later, when I start getting more regulars to the site. Also, what do you think of the site, what do you think should be added??

I like the page a lot. A few tips

- Never, ever, use Times New Roman
- Have your forum link externally (so instead of "_self" or nothing add in "_blank"). This way, it's much easier to navigate the forum and one can also navigate the main page at the same time
- Personally, I would dump the middle text box and make it a tables website with scrolling news. But that's just me.
- If you do keep the middle news text box, you might want to learn some DHTML and make the navigator bar at the top of the page a rollover menu (go to Sportsline for an example, place your cursor over any of their main sports, like "NFL" or "NBA" or "NHL")

I like the rollover menu quite a lot, and I will consider adding that, as well as making the forum link external.

Also, what text do you think would look best.

Also, what would I put in the rollover menu, and have you got any DHTML sites??

Thank You.

Considering some of your site is Arial (like the Standings, or is it Verdana)? I would use one of those two. They're pretty much the standard anyways.

As for DHTML tutorials, I have a book, so I always refer to that. I found some sites with Google that look pretty good, but I can't say for sure if they are not because I've never used them.
