i don't think the Celtics would win that match up...
This is old school Pippen that would be able to shut down or at least slow down Bird..
Jordan would kill Danny Ainge I think..
Rodman will be Rodman...he will take out 1 of their big men by annoying the hell outta them

Thats interesting, but I still don't buy it. Jordan was a man possessed in the playoffs, defensively the Bulls collectively would shut down all those Celtic scrubs outside of Larry Legend. Oh.. wait now I see why the votes by the "experts" went the way they did. I think there may be some Celtic bias here:

Players & Coaches
Red Auerbach <= think he had any influence?
Rick Barry
Chuck Daly
Gail Goodrich
Steve Kerr <= no comment :D
Dr. Jack Ramsay
Doc Rivers
Media & Analysts
Marv Albert
David DuPree
Mark Heisler
Rick Kamla
Harvey Pollack
Bob Ryan
Sam Smith
Peter Vecsey

If you notice though... everybody else and their moma voted:

1995-96 Bulls 79%
1985-86 Celtics 21%

yeah, i wish there was like a "Situation Slider" or something like you could make it a Gamw 1 playoff game, Game 2 playoff Game, Facing elimination game, game 7 playoff game, ect. that'd be cool

i could od it with the bulls being home if ya want too

In a way, I'm not surprised. People always seem to find a way to take away from the greatness of players, teams and their accomplishments in the 90s, while any criticisms of players and teams in previous eras are immediately dismissed.

As that bet wasn't sanctioned by the NLSC, you aren't barred from posting as far the rules are concerned, only by your word that you would honour the wager. Just thought I'd point that out.

What?

The Celtics lost to the Pistons, and the Pistons got dismantled by the 91 Bulls.

The Celtics had trouble with the Bulls also when Jordan was in his first few years and he had no help (63 points in the playoffs etc).

90's v. 80's comparisons aren't fantasy. Just look at games between 88 and 92 or so.

The 1996 Bulls would win in 6 or 7.
