So to help out others, especially myself (to lessen the requests, hehe
), here is a tutorial in converting 2k11 CFs to 2k12!CF Conversion Tutorial by wilson27
1st we need to open nba2k mod tool
now, open the 2k11 pngxxxx.iff file (cf file)
now, extract the n2km file to desktop and name it as 2k11.n2km
now, do the same with the 2k12 pngxxxx.iff
and exportres it and name as 2k12.n2km
now close the mod tool and open BLENDER
now, we should import the 2k11 n2km.
then, we move it a little bit to the left,
remember, DO NOT go into edit mode yet.
now, import the 2k12 n2km file
as you can see at the left portion. those are the names or the parts of the n2km files.
so now, as you can read, the 2k11 file is named NBA2KM only, and the 2k12 file is named NBA2KM.001
now, lets start the conversion.
first click on the NBA2KM parts:
0-0
0-1
0-6
0-7
0-8
then press ctrl+L.. as we shall link those selected parts to NBA2KM.001
then, we shall delete the 2k11 scene,
click on the X at the middle top portion of the screen beside the "SCE:NBA2KM"
so now we have our two heads!!
So the head at the left has five (5) parts,
and it is from the 2k11 n2km as we linked it earlier
0-0 is the eye at the left
0-1 is the eye at the right
0-6 is the headshape
0-7 are the eye lids?
0-8 are the eye brows?
So what we are going to do now is to replace the 2k12 parts by renaming the above-mentioned parts (the 2k11 parts).
now lets rename 0-0 and make it 0-6.001
as you can see, or as you saw, it did not renamed automatically to 0-6.001, so we have to rename
0-6.002 and make it 0-6.001! its now 0-6.001! (TO Rename Scenes, press ctrl + click on the name)
so now we can delete the 2k12 "old" part which we are going to replace.
we're going to do the same with 0-1, 0-7, and 0-8
so 0-1 should be renamed as 0-7.001
0-7 should be renamed as 0-8.001
0-8 should be renamed as 0-9.001
dont forget to delete the names/parts ending in ".002" because those are the 2k12 parts that we should replace
now rename 0-6 to 0-1.001
then delete 0-1! (the 2k12 headshape, the one at the right side)
now choose all the 2k11 parts, that will be
0-1.001
0-6.001
0-7.001
0-8.001
and 0-9.001
then move it to the center!
REMEMBER! GO INTO EDIT MODE ONLY AFTER BRINGING ALL 5 PARTS BACK TO THE CENTER
now go into edit mode and fix all what is needed to be fixed! (position of the mouth, teeth, and tongue, and also the headband)
after some fixes, export it to n2km and were almost done!
i named it 2k12 new.n2km then click export
so now, open the 2k12 iff with mod tool and import the new 2k12 n2km!
don't forget the textures from 2k11 iff, export it and import it to the 2k12 iff..
and that's it! were done!
