^I'll definitely will. Thanks for the suggestions.

EDIT:

Okay. Just realized six core is not really that necessary. but I want video rendering fast! Nvm. Anyways:

AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.0Ghz P5800
Biostar A880G AMD880G/DDR3/A/V/L P2600
Kingston 4GB 1033 P1100
Samsung 500GB P1950
Powercolor HD 5770 1GB DDR5 P5700
Aerocool VS-9 P2250 (http://www.aerocool.us/pgs/pgs-v/pgs_v_vs9.htm) Tell me what you think. It looks good. More fans(7!)
CPU Fans? Suggest. Can I buy the cheapest? If yes, that would be good. So might buy Gigabyte G-Power 2 P1800
Gigabyte superb 550W P2550

ALL in ALL - 20k+ I think it's a good deal. right?
That's it.:D

Changed my mind and to bump. Sorry for the double post.

AMD Athlon X3 445 3.2Ghz P3450
Biostar A880G/DDR3/A/V/L P2600
Kingston 4GB 1033 P1100
Samsung 500GB P1950
Inno3d GTX460SE 1GB DDR5 256bit P7600
Aerocool VS-9 P2250
Thermaltake litepower 700W P2800 or gigabyte superb 550W P2550

So uhmmm...I dunno if this is a good deal since I want to play max on 1280x720(I'm fine with that res. And 5770 is said to be capable of doing that on high. My problem is about the new games to come.)

Another one is is my processor enough for recording games? like fraps etc?

And do I need more fan?

If you want to use fraps to record while playing the game you will need to get a better processor since fraps uses a lot of computer resources. 2 fans will be enough, 1 taking air in and 1 taking air out.

just wanted to share my PC specs

atx, Cooler Master Elite 430 Black, bottom psu, black
cpu, AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE (Black Edition) 3.2ghz (overclocked to 3.8ghz)
mb am3, MSI 890GXM-G65 (Micro board)
psu, Epsilon 80PLUS 700W, Non-Modular
vga, MSI ATI R6870 1gb/256bit ddr5
ram, 4gb (dual) ddr3-1333 Corsair
hdd int, WDC Caviar Black 1tb/64mb (WD1002FAEX) sata
Cooler Master CM (R4-L2R-20CK-GP) Led Silent 120mm (Blue, 90CFM fan)-- php430 x3 = php1290
Cooler Master CM (R4-L4S-10AB-GP) Led 140mm (Blue Led
sleeve, 16 dBa) case --- php500

Total: 51k php (Price as of Dec 2010 when I bought it.)
FPS: 60
Settings: All high ^_^

notes: MY pc SPEC is built for HIGH END GAMES but unfortunately, my processor is not powerful enough to unleash the full potential of my Videocard. You should research first all the compatible parts. Usually, RAM and Motherboard always have an issue. As well as Videocard + Powersupply. Processors + board + ram. Usually, AMDs only support dual channel. But if you go intel and go for i7, you need a triple channel board that supports (requires) 3 ram at a time. But there is also an i7 that supports dual channel but cost wise, I prefer AMD when it comes to dual channel.

LOOKS SWEET! I'm not going into iSeries for some reasons. They cost a lot. :| So Athlon II x3 isn't enough? :( Damn!

AMD Phenom II X4 840 (3.2Ghz) P4950
Powercolor HD 6790 P6250 or should I get GTX550 Ti 2GB DDR5 192-bit P7800?
Meron din silang asrock 880GM-LE AMD880G P2950
Seagate 500GB SATA P1900
Kingston 4GB DDR3 1333 P1100
FPS Supersonic 600W P2650
Do I need to buy CPU fANS?
Aerocool VS-9 P1900

LAST BUILD MAYBE.

Which is better for the video card? 6790 is 256-bit while GTX550 Ti 2GB is just 192-bit.

consider the watts usage also.

and also, Asrock is good because they are sister company with ASUS. But the thing is, you better read such reviews. compare then analyze for your self. GIGABYTE is one of the best motherboard. If it comes to PSU, Corsair is better (marketing included lol). Try to buy newer generation AMD processors also. I bought my Micro board because it is also compatible with AMD phenom IIx6. MSI 890GXM-65 for only 6k when I bought it. Consider the cooling power of the motherboard and its durability in overclocking. The newest i think is AM3+ socket. It took me a month of canvasing prices, always going to gilmore, searched the whole place for opinions, searched the net on what they say, read reviews. etc. They say AMD is compatible with ATI. Intel is for Nvidia. You decide. Goodluck bro ^^

I would probably get 6790 because it is said to be faster. About the CPU, I think it's good enough now, but it will bottleneck my GPU.-.-But don't really care.haha. Anyways, Corsair PSU costs so much. 5K. o.O I'm fine with my PSU, just doing a little research if it can handle my GPU for a long time. For fans. I think I just buy Thermaltake Contac 29, I might buy one or two. It depends on the budget.

How about a gaming headset? Budget is 400-1000 pesos.:D

5670 is pretty low, though. And it's aging so fast. I'd go for HD6790 then not really sure about going on iSeries yet. 320GB? It's only 200 pesos from the 500GB.

How about
Intel core i5-2400 P8650
Asrock H61M-VS H61 P2800
Kingston 4GB DDR3 1333 P1100
Seagate 500GB P2100
FSP Supersonic 600W P2650
Aerocool VS-9 P1995

P18K+ No videocard yet.:D The i5 on board card looks sweet and can play some games with decent price. I would just earn another 6-10K for the video card.xD

I learned that the games that will be released will need dualcores, and i5 destroyed Phenom II X4 on Deus Ex.o.O Which makes me think that I have to get i5. I would save for a videocard and might buy next year.

I will. On November.:D But this is my last decision. 33K. 750 dollars.

cpu, Intel Core i5 2400 (SR02K) 3.1ghz (Quad Core) PHP 8100.00
mobo, Asrock H61M U3S3 - 3140php
ram, 4gb 2x2 DDR3 1600cl9 GSkill RJX - 1550php
500gb Seagate 7200.12 16mb sata hdd Php1930
LG 24x, int DVDRW P880
vga, Powercolor HD 6850 1gb/256bit ddr5 OC ed PCS+ PHP 7800.00
FSP Hexa 500w 80+ P2100
atx, Aerocool (Strike-X) PHP 2750.00
Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit P4750

28K or 700 dollars without the OS.:D

I'll change the title to :What's your specs:

Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 2.80GHz
3.5 GB RAM
GeForce 8400 GS (512 MB)

I want to be able to run the game on high, but I think the processor is stopping me.
If I got a new quad-core processor, would I be able to achieve that?
I'm thinking about getting this: AMD Phenom II X4 840 3.2GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor HDX840WFGMBOX

Also, another question. Are you all familiar with CanYouRunIt.com?
Well, I bought this 512 MB card, but on the site, it says I have 2.0 GB Video RAM...can anyone explain?

You could probably stand to upgrade your video card too but yes, a better processor would be in order.

I have

Dell Studio XPS 7100 Desktop

CPU: AMD Phenom II x6 1045t

Video Card: ATI HD 5670 1GB

Ram: 6GB

I get between 80-90 FPS during gameplay with everything on Max with 2x AA

I play with a Frame limit of 75FPS which smooths out the gameplay really in contrast to when the FPS jumps around 75-100.

When my PC was new I got a 90FPS benchmark btw.

There is occasional drops in FPS for a few seconds which goes down to about 45-50 but I think that just happens to all PCs.

my PC wass $699.00

6 cores!? Well, I heard that i5 beats all Phenom in overall performance. But six cores win in multitasking of course.:D

Yeah I can ALT+Tab out of any game like its a word document and continue to do anything without slowdowns :). But I wouldnt know how much the 6 core helps or the Ram

It doesn't help to improve NBA 2k11 since it's optimized for dual cores only. RAM is fine when you have 4GB.:D

Videocard is getting old.

Yeah I know...but for all I care I will have this PC for a max of two years and I can still play decently fun games but mainly NBA 2K games because I am getting too busy with college to keep playing games with plot.

Intel Quad Core @ 3.00 GHZ
Nvidia GTX 550 Ti
8 GB RAM

Most I've gotten is 97 FPS but it is usually consistent in the upper 80s, lower 90s. With 8x AA and all max settings.

From what I've read most recommend the 460 over the 550, but a lot of stores are running sales on the 500 and its maxed out every game I've tried so far including ACB and Dirt 3, both which are rather graphics intensive.
CPU: Intel i7 2600K OC'd @ 4.4GHZ
GPU: 2 GTX 570s in SLI
RAM: 16 GB Corsair RAM
MOBO: ASRock Z77 Extreme 4
PSU: Rosewill Lightning 1300W

460 is far superior than 550 ti. 460 is 256bit while 550ti is only 192bit. But yeah, 550 ti is still good though.:D

Core i7 950
Asus Rampage III Formula
6Gb RAM
GeForce GTX 570

I play at 1920x1080 with all settings maxed and AA and AF forced to 16xCSAA and 16AF respectively
vsync off I get 150++ fps but I turn vsync on as it feels smoother to get constant 60fps than jumping fps (because it jumps to upwards of 170s to lows of 130s with vsync off)

Here some screens

Image
Image
Image

Those saying its optimized for dual cores are wrong as you do benefit from a faster processor..as you can see, all my 4 cores are in use..heck even the 8 hyperthreaded cores are in use..I noticed this when I shifted from a dual core e8400 to my Core i7..back then I did not change graphics cards (then a GTX 260) but my fps noticeable improved
