please elaborate, are they cahnging the world title belts? I seriously have no idea what's going on in the 'E right now
Fri Jun 24, 2011 3:00 am
there has been a rumor that they are getting rid of the spinner belt for a new one. CM Punk's last day of his contract is MiTB for the title. if he wins, he could "take" the spinner belt off TV in favor for a new one.

Definitely an improvement there.

LOL at the size of the old WWE belt, err I mean title. It looks like the defunct Women's title.
You people with consoles are very lucky. I wish I have one.

Definitely good news.

Not WWE 12 but another title that's apparently coming out next year:
Sort of in the vein of All-Stars, with more of a Mortal Kombat style. Looks alright but like All-Stars, I might give it a miss or at least wait until it's in the bargain bin.

Marcus Stephenson said on his twitter that he's leaving THQ again.
weird
Dude might be just be pulling a CM Punk though.

I get the impression Community Manager can be a pretty thankless and difficult position at times, copping all the flak when the community isn't happy with someone. Beyond that I'm sure there are simply other opportunities out there that are too good to pass up.

Meanwhile, current age Rock is the preorder bonus for some retailers.
He'll probably be DLC after some months like Bret was last year, presumably.

pretty cool

Seems a likely scenario, yeah. Good stuff, they've done a pretty good job with the roster the past couple of years. With the way people get future endeavoured or in other cases quickly pushed to prominence, there's always going to be someone in the game who's no longer in the company or someone notable left out by the time the game ships. The DLC has certainly helped some though.

sucks to hear about Marcus leaving, poor guy gets a lot of crap that isn't his fault.

Roster reveal coming at the SummerSlam Fan Axxess.
THQ will reveal the roster for WWE '12 on August 13, live from SummerSlam Fan Axxess. The unveiling will reveal the roster including unlockables, but no DLC. There is also a Mystery Superstar that will be revealed in September. The Rock is available for people that pre-order the game and 90 days after with a fee (pre-order and there won't be a fee.) You can see videos from the reveal on WWE and THQ websites.

Roster was revealed, on top of that, there is a Create an Arena (that only edits the ring and ropes, derp but "Yo can use paint tool designs on everything in and around the ring. Old school metal barricades as well"), and Sin Cara has his lighting during 1v1 matches, no option to kill that though.
Roster is here
http://wwe.thq.com/go/view/rosterSome divas got cut, Bellas, Fox and that Tamina come to mind, meh....but yay to Chavo but no to Usos? 14 still to be announced, but the legend selection is pretty good.
the controls

and here is a lot more information

Pretty good roster on the whole so far, kind of strange that the Bellas didn't make the cut given their push this year but oh well. Controls sound fine to me.
When a signature/finisher like 5-Knuckle Shuffle is performed, it will be done in exact place of ring your opponent is in the moment you started your move. No more teleporting to the center of the ring so that animation could work.
To be honest, I actually kind of liked that approach. This way will certainly be more challenging and realistic, I just hope it doesn't lead to a lot of cheesy rope breaks.
You can store two finishers.
Excellent.
Sun Aug 14, 2011 12:54 pm
i dont understand leaving the bellas out since they were just the divas champion plus you only have to make 1 model for 2 characters.

Arn Anderson, Kevin Nash, Booker T
interesting they put sin cara at the bottom next to all the people that aren't wrestling/with the company anymore
Sun Aug 14, 2011 12:59 pm
PC version pls.
One can dream.
Sun Aug 14, 2011 3:15 pm
I'm not really feelin it.....couple things like the taunts are cool, but, eh, i dunno
Mon Aug 15, 2011 4:54 am
Anderson's a bit of an odd choice, given the lack of Tully Blanchard at the very least. Flair being in TNA you're unlikely to get the Horsemen, so fair enough on that front, but they could at least have thrown in the other half of the Brain Busters.
Nice that we finally get proper trons, and the match actually being on the tron instead of just a logo. The in-ring game looks a lot better this year, too.
Let's just hope the difficulty increase isn't just more reversals, and that you can actually have a decent match this year. I often didn't even use a signature move last year, because my opponent was out before I had enough momentum.
Mon Aug 15, 2011 10:50 am
Looks alright, I too hope it isn't a complete reversal fest but having said that it looks like there are some pretty cool reversals in the game this year if you can pull them off properly. Upgrades to the AI are certainly welcome, I really hope they've gotten rid of the cheese in tag, triple threat, fatal four way and championship scramble matches though.
Tue Aug 16, 2011 7:52 am
What cheese would that be?
Just noticed that the WWE belt still spins. Should've got rid of that years ago.
Tue Aug 16, 2011 10:27 am
And flat too.

pretty good vidoc right here
http://www.gametrailers.com/video/preda ... tte/719000I love the interruptible animations and how you can string shit together, but, I dunno, I still see things I dont like....
...its like they are trying to create a hybrid between what you see on TV and a fighting game, I kinda wish they'd pick one of the other....
of course, I think LoW did a good job replicating what you see on TV since most everything is scripted quick time events, and All Stars reviewed really well because it tried to be 100% fighting.
I think I just want no Mercy with interruptible animations and the weapon physics of svr2011...

CPU opponents recovering too quickly, basically having to take everybody out at once to try and get a pin. For me, those match types (perhaps not so much two-on-two tags, they've fixed those up a bit in recent years) are more frustrating than fun.
Tue Aug 16, 2011 2:17 pm
Ah, that. Yeah. That's pretty much the problem with the game as a whole; wrestlers get up way too quickly, but you can still pin them really easily. There's not that progression where they take longer and longer to get to their feet, eventually becoming pinnable. I've had times where I've hit some small move or other, the guy jumped back up, but I hit B as he was doing it. So he glitches onto his back...three count. It's silly.
