Coach Hova, the team is definetly not in shape for the playoffs at this time, what do you think will happen at the trade deadline or in the draft to get Sonics fans back into that "we're gonna go to the playoffs", mood they were in back when thisd team was one of the best in the league?

Also: You should do these weekly, fun idea.

Seattle, January 1st

New year - a new try, the Seattle Supersonics were looking to fight their way back near the Playoffs spots but had to take a big first hit as the Wizards blew them out at home, 123-104.
It was once again the "backcourt 2k11", John Wall and Darryl Spencer, who gave their opponents fits, this time, the Sonics' guards Luis Chase and Tyreke Evans.

Wall, the number one selection of the 2010 NBA draft, had a career-high 19 assists, also adding 16 points and 2 steals. Spencer, the number two pick of last year's draft had a career-high in scoring, as he made 1 of his 29 shot attempts en route for 38 points. Even without the injured Rashard Lewis, the Wizards kept their offense flowing.

"He seemed unstoppable at times", Tyreke Evans said about the former Deamon Deacon, "hitting contested shots left and right", the Sonics' shooting guard said.

Evans had only 12 points, also adding 5 boards, 4 assists and 3 steals, but he had problems defending the rookie out of Wake Forest. Spencer kept scoring on the drive or from down town, also adding some flavour here and there with nice alley-oop plays, set up by his congenial backcourt partner Wall.

"We really fit together well", Spencer said about his relationship with Wall. "I always knew, that with those talented players around me in the NBA, I can make it happen", Spencer said. The 6-3 guard had always been blamed for Wake Forests first round exits in the NCAA tournaments.

For the Sonics, Demarcus Cousins had 27 points and 12 rebounds and 5 blocks, once again showing off his great shape. David West and Donte Greene had 19 each, but the game was never really close. Take a look at Cousins' and Spencer's highlights below.

Seattle, January 5th

The Seattle Supersonics extended their losing streak to three, as the Portland Trailblazers were able to outlast them in the second halftime, winning 112-94 on the road. The Sonics drop to a league-worst 5-17 at home now.

"I don't know what's the problem here at home. The fans are great, I mean those who still come ...", Coach Hova said after the game.

At least the Sonics have one thing to cheer about. Demarcus Cousins scored 30 points, three shy of his career-high and also added 8 rebounds, shooting an efficient 12-13 from the charity stripe.

"His game has stabilized, I really like how he's doing, but we need wins right now, that's all", Hova added. Cousins is averaging 27.6 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2 blocks over the last three games.

Tyreke Evans, heavily criticized lately for not showing up, had 20 of his 26 points in the first half, when the Sonics had a three point lead. But the team once again couldn't prevail in the 2nd half, especially on defense.

Lamarcus Aldridge had 23 points and 12 rebounds and Gerald Wallace added 17 points. But the Blazers had to take a big hit as Brandon Roy once again suffered an injury in the 3rd quarter.

"It's the god damn knee again", the usually soft-spoken Roy said after the game. He may miss up to six weeks. Roy has been averaging only 16.4 points and 4.7 assists per game this season.

Larvae, Blake's been doing well, he got some developing points from one guy out of the NLSC over offseason, adding a midrange J to his arsenal. Thanks for stopping by.

Mavs4Life, it wasn't the CPU, it was a competition among NLSCer, who brings up the best trade scenario. Martti won, by proposing a deal with LA. He got a 1st rounder for the upcoming draft for that. Thanks for following and for your question ;)

Valor, thanks for the question ;) Cool to see you on fb, man. ;)

Houndy, good quesiton, thanks, man ;)

dare, haha ^^ I will add that to the interview.

newc, thanks man. Nice to see you follow.

Guys, bring up more Qs, maybe after the recent games some more questions come to your mind. Keep them coming, thanks for following. (Y)

Larvae, Houndy, I start to understand how to use Cousins, and further, he seems to really profit from those development drills. I had him training some shot blocking, post offense and also "attack the rim", because I love to isolate him with a slower center on him and then attack the rim, drawing fouls (7 attempts per game) or going for a spin layup.

He's not overpowering guys, although he has great size, I rather have him post up doing finesse stuff or just trying to use his soft hands on layups and drives. At the moment he is also hitting that 15 footer, which can really hurt opponents.

Too bad that our defense sucks and others can't contribute on a regular basis.

Vote your game of the month on NBA.com

Several decent matchups are up for voting as the NBA.com "Game Of The Month" continues in January. Take a look down low at the matches you can vote for.

1/11/2012 Chicago Bulls (22-10) vs Boston Celtics (19-16)

Rematch of last year's Eastern Conference Semis, when the Celtics needed seven games to beat the Bulls. Derrick Rose (25.1ppg) has stepped up his game since then and the Bulls are up and coming, while the Celtics are once again fighting their steady decline.

1/13/2012 Miami Heat (31-5) vs Oklahoma City Thunder (26-11)

Beast from the East meets best from the West. The Heat are looking to bounce back from their first losing week of the season (1-2) as the two topscorers and most probable MVP-candidates in the league face each other.

1/22/2012 New York Knicks (20-15) vs Orlando Magic (24-13)

The two trailing forces in the East behind Miami and Chicago will meet for the first time this season. It will also be a matchup of Dwight Howard (20.1ppg) and the improved rookie Lance Meredith (18.7ppg).

1/24/2012 Los Angeles Lakers (21-12) vs Boston Celtics (19-16)

Second rematch of the 2011 NBA Finals. The Lakers will look to bounce back from their loss against the Celtics on New year's Eve after winning seven straight games.

1/25/2012 Boston Celtics (19-16) vs New York Knicks (20-15)

The big three from 2k8 vs the big three from 2k11. Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce will face Carmelo Anthony, Amar'e Stoudemire and Lance Meredith in MSG center.

1/27/2012 Houston Rockets (18-17) vs Memphis Grizzlies (20-15)

Two hard-nosed teams who are looking to make it to the top four in the West will face each other in FedEx Forum, with Rudy Gay looking to keep his hot game going (23.1ppg/8.4rpg).
