2011 Playoffs Sim using NBA 2K11

For anyone who's interested:

With the 2011 NBA Playoffs tipping off tomorrow, I've decided to run a simulation in NBA 2K11 using the latest Living Rosters update. Should we expect any upsets? Just how many of the game's predictions will be proven correct? Read on to find out how the simulation went down and which team NBA 2K11 nominated to win the Larry O'Brien trophy this year.

It'd be interesting to see how the playoffs work out with your latest rosters in Live 2005-08, just for comparison sake, and if you have time.

As far as the 2005-08 rosters go, it's been Celtics/Lakers most of the time when I've been testing for any errors and crashes between seasons, split fairly evenly from memory.

interesting to see new orleans get swept. they were ranked 8th overall in the game when i played it last week.

I guess it could happen with West out, but I expect they'll win at least one. Game 1 of Magic/Hawks isn't over yet but looks like an upset might not be that far fetched.

not too shabby, but if 2K11 predicted the Grizzlies over Spurs, you probably would have discounted the game.

Absolutely, I'd have doubted that outcome but clearly I didn't give the Grizzlies enough credit. 7/8's not bad at all, especially when the one wrong prediction was an upset of the first seed.
