The problem was the positioning. The two rebounders below where flipped, thats why both got it wrong later. the white dude even contests the shot and wants to inbound

That's a good point, I actually didn't notice that until you pointed out. Guess instinct took over.

It was the refs screw-up, it shouldn't count as the players weren't in their correct position.

Something Fox Sports never did figure out, even after there was a massive issue made of Shane Heal and Brian Goorjian saying "fuck" about six times during a timeout back in 2002 or so.
