The patch doesn't address absolutely everything we were hoping it would but I think most would agree that the results are still pleasing by and large. If you're enjoying the game then great, there's nothing further you need to concern yourself with.

Hall of Fame difficulty + Casual gamestyle = Holy Shit

I've been trying to get into NBA Live PC again and I finally accepted to myself that it isn't going to age well no matter how I look at it. So I tried the above settings and it's like playing online against someone. CPU running fakes, flick flicks, and alleyoops. Giving stars plenty of touches who are just destroying me, and really competitive games. Granted I'm getting scores in the 50s with 4 minute quarters, but this is damn fun.

:wall:

I tried playing Live again, I do not think I can play it anymore because it is so out of date. Not out of date roster wise, but gameplay and graphics wise.

So, I tried new settings in 2K11, Casual Gamestyle sliders and Hall of Fame difficulty, and had fun. Then I shared with the forum that I had fun.

Tried this for kicks in the preseason since I drafted legends. Very fun. I like the way the cpu pushed the ball and looked for the first opportunity to score. It feels like it responds better to input, too. Only problem was every shot was dropping. Lowered shooting sliders and it's very fun. Ended up taking the lead on midrange jumper by MJ with 1.5 left only for Rudy Fernandez to hit a fallaway 3 at the buzzer to win it. Just increasing the foul sliders should balance out the points in paint and all the steals and blocks.

if you could post your sliders when you are done tweaking them that'd be helpful.

The pc patch was an all in one patch, I believe, so it included all the fixes from the second update.

Started a My Player on the 360, I forgot how much fun Team Up/Pick Up games can be online. Shit, the last time I played Team Up was in 2k9 and Live 09.

Hey Jao, can you tell me what to expect if I go HOF Difficulty with Casual Gameplay? Is it NBA Jam esque, or is there still sim elements with it? Just ready your initial impressions, and I'm slightly intrigued by the up and down gameplay. If you all decide on some sliders that suite you, try and post them. I'll try it out when I get to the house and sit down for a few minutes with the game.

I actually havent touched the sliders, I instead try to "respect" the D because the CPU's blocking ability is intense.

I wouldn't call it NBA Jam, I'd classify it as "aggressive". Just try it out one game and let me know if you like it or not.

Finally got around to "fixing" Casual + HoF. CPU and User slider changes, Steal Success = 60, Blocking Attribute Slider = 50.

ta daaaaa

Friggin love the aggressiveness by the CPU with these.
