I think everyone will say Darko, but I still beleive he was in a tough situation and could (not will) become a pretty good player. Still a dissapointment though.
To me dissapointments were Reece Gaines, Collison (injury), and Pavlovic (Utah) a little, and Banks a little also (Boston never had a real PG). Carlos Delfino, can't say yet, but he could become like a Ginobili when he comes (thats a good thing).
Mispercieved dissapointments
Some might see Sweetney as one, but if you watch him play and see how he's been doing when getting minutes then you know he's not. Troy Bell also, but he was behind White Chocolate, and Watson.
Pietrus might also have been seen as one, but that was just injuries, and look whats he's been doing since he can back. I really like Pietrus, so much upside, he can shoot, is atheletic, a get down and dirty defender, and he can also pass and handle the ball pretty well.
His stats as a starter this year: 9.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 0.93 steals, 0.57 blocks. 45.7% FG, 27.9% 3PT (he's better than that), 72.7% FT, 25.3 minutes
The thing is that Dunleavy will have to move to the 3 later, and J-Rich is the 2. Pietrus can't play the point, and Speedy is there anyways. I really think he can be a starter in the league, but in GS, not likely, at best he'll be the sixth man with hidden talent.

collison shouldnt be in the list because he missed the season due to injury and i think marcus banks is doing a decent job...
i voted for darko but i would also like to vote for jarvis hayes...

i thought from the start that darko was a project player so there wasn't much expected from him this season.
To me dissapointments were Reece Gaines...and Banks a little also
i agree. banks was my sleeper for ROY lol. gaines- damn those awesome louisville games seems so long ago
i thought jarvis hayes had a great start to his rookie season.
i've seen a lot of GS games since dampier was on my fantasy team... i don't think pietrus has been a disappointment at all. coach muss's style is not to play rooks and jason richardson plays the frenchy's position. if anything- he's making coach muss look stupid. clearly pietrus is the best defender of all the perimeter players on the team (which is pretty poor on defense itself), yet muss has been reluctant to give him minutes. i don't think it's coincidence that the team went on it's current streak when pietrus made those comments to that french paper
it's a possibility that GS could continue to go with dunleavy at point forward, have j-rich at the 2, and have pietrus guard the point guard (which he's shown he's capable of doing).
personally, i'd like to see GS trade richardson- i think his talent has hit the ceiling, he's a poor defender, and the team could probably get a good point guard in return.
the lineup heading into 04-05 would be then:
dampier (GS has the most money to offer him)
murphy
dunleavy
pietrus
?? possibly j crawford
and they would have plenty of cap space at the end of that season with NVE, uncle cliff, eschmeyer's contracts coming off the books

i thought jarvis hayes had a great start to his rookie season.
yeah he did... that's why im dissapointed because he was playing well in the start but just slowly faded... it may be due to the lack of playing time though...

I also think they should let J-Rich go over Pietrus, but thats just my opinion, a lot of people that have watched him might think the same too. Him and Claxton are the teams best prerimeter defenders, Dampier even called him the NBA's best defender.
Hays was due to injuries, and also less playing time when stupid Stackhouse returned, we (Washington) better get rid of him next year.
I know crawford4MIP4real, I also got fooled by Gaines play at Louisvillle, and with neither Orlando or Boston having a real PG I expected those guys to shine, guess not.

unfortunately i dont think j rich has much trade value -- they should just play him as the 6th man.
id probably say milicic dissapointed me, but the truth is detroit really doesnt play him so i havent seen much to be dissapointed about. next year we'll see what he's made of. i thought tj ford would be a little better (he's still good) seeing that he was very good in college.

Darko Milicic

Darko is probably the most logical choice, though that's probably unfair as the Pistons haven't really given him a chance to prove he's not a disappointment. Collison's injury is also disappointing, but it's a case of misfortune rather than a wasted opportunity.
I'll say Jarvis Hayes. He was the 10th pick, was given a pretty good opportunity, but his numbers are fairly average. Going by the hype, Banks has also been disappointing.

Marcus Banks had a nice game today though... 13 points (6/9), 5 assists, 7 steals in 17 minutes.
Banks is an unreal defender... although he hasn't been real consistant, i reckon Celts should give him more minutes. He should be able to start over Chucky Atkins.
