Chris Gatling played for 8 teams in NBA (while being traded 8 times in his last 7 years of his career), did anyone do better ? (I think so but I can't think of anyone)

Chucky Brown I think. He was last seen on the Kings. Gatling was good though too. I remember him being an all-star one year.

Chauncey Billups so far. 5 teams in 5 years.

Well seen for
Jim Jackson who is with the Rockets in his 10th NBA team

But
Chucky Brown is even better : 12 different teams !
Chauncey Billups also travelled a lot but it seems that he settled for good in Detroit, at least for a while

Rasheed Wallace played for 3 different teams in 3 games. That's worth something.

Chucky Brown and Jim Jackson are the best examples. I believe Brown's 12 teams equals the US professional sports record (I forget who the other player is, and which sport he played). Keith Van Horn might be able to break that record though.
