Not unless your save has been corrupted.

What if I installed the patch on PC. Should I restart my association to get the new shot sig for the players and the new courts they have updated on the patch, and also the glitches that they seem to fix to be on effect?

"remember what happened last year? Gamersgate leaked the patch (yay me), 2k ended up releasing the DVD patch early and patched the servers so then Steam and other DD users got blocked out of online until they got the patch."
People who chose to use Steam shouldn't be denied features because of Steam's time table, but people who decided not to use steam should be denied features? That's backwards.
People who purchase physical copies are being locked out of features because Steam, a service they didn't want to use, takes time for approval. DVD buyers have to wait for certain bug fixes, have to wait for certain aspects of the game to work, because of Steam's approval process.
If it's Steam's process causing a delay, let their customers suffer the negative results.
Sat Dec 04, 2010 3:25 pm
no paying customer should have to suffer any negative results regardless of where or how they bought the game.

"no paying customer should have to suffer any negative results regardless of where or how they bought the game."
Paying customers who purchased the boxed version are suffering negative results. They can't have the game play fixes in the patch because DDs, who they chose not to use, have a time consuming approval process.
If DDs take time, then those who chose not to use them shouldn't have to take the hit. Those who chose not to use DDs shouldn't be impacted by DD policies and procedures.
Paying customers are suffering. They made a decision to buy a boxed copy, but still have to live under the policies and procedures of DDs. If DD customers don't like DDs policies and procedures for patches then let them buy a boxed copy. Let the DDs improve their patch integration speed to keep their customers, rather than be allowed to force their policies on non customers.

I'm ignored.-.-

^Yes for the sig shots since they are in the roster, no for the courts since they are just graphics, no for the bug-fixes.

you can always edit the sig shots of any player through the game in association mode though
fjccommish, you're making a nothing argument for the sake of making an argument. The patch was created, sent out, then taken back to fix unranked games, something the consoles didn't even get a fix for. It wasn't sent out to the DDs the same day as the console patch and we DVD users aren't waiting for a patch due to Steam Time.
It would be (and was last year) a worse situation by letting some PC users have the patch while others couldn't even get updated rosters, compared to just making everyone wait for the same patch release date.
For all we know the DVD version of the patch wasn't even ready before it went back to QA. Do you really think the in-house versions of the game require a retail disc in the drive? No.
I don't know why your having issues with a PC patch that never had a release date and is getting fixes exclusive to the PC platform.

Yes, DVD owners are being impacted by DD time. The pullback for unranked games is a separate issue from the time it takes DDs to approve and integrate the patch. Once the patch is complete it will still take time for DDs to approve it and to integrate it into their systems.
Sun Dec 05, 2010 5:37 am
so?
are you really feeling that wronged by having to wait a few extra days?
Sun Dec 05, 2010 2:50 pm
PC DVD $30 cheaper here in the states than 360 or PS3. I doth think you protest too much.
Mon Dec 06, 2010 4:14 am
"are you really feeling that wronged by having to wait a few extra days?"
Yes, because it's due to the policies and procedures of companies whose services DVD owners decided not to use. DDs are influencing the experiences of people who don't use them so that the people who decided to use DDs aren't inconvenienced.
Mon Dec 06, 2010 4:25 am
if you don't know the release date of the patch how do you know you are being inconvenienced?

So if I start a new association now and install the patch later when it is released, I will not come up to a 1-star trade value glitch?
Tue Dec 07, 2010 4:12 am
correct, it fixes the bugs
Tue Dec 07, 2010 12:51 pm
Any recent news when will the PC patch will be released?
Tue Dec 07, 2010 1:08 pm
Nothing aside from a couple of Tweets by Ronnie last week, which have been mentioned above.
Fri Dec 10, 2010 11:29 pm
I thought the PC patch would be released this month?
Sat Dec 11, 2010 2:19 am
it was sent back to QA because one the console issues that popped up after the patch couldnt be fixed on the PC version. the PC version is also missing art files for the locked Magic, Hornets, and Wolves alternates so hopefully they are adding that too.
Ronnie 2K
@Muwu QA still has the PC patch.

yea, it sucks, but last year we ended up with the best version of the game with the fixed 3pt big man glitch and other tweaks the consoles didnt get until 2k11. hopefully the same holds true this year.
Sat Dec 11, 2010 9:49 am
Hopefully.haha. Can't really wait. I stopped playing for a while. I'm going to play it again when the patch is already released.
Sat Dec 11, 2010 9:55 am
So the patch maybe released late January?

I stopped playing for a few weeks but got back into it after playing with arcade and ultra-sim slider sets. Messing with a different mode can help pass the time too.
Sat Dec 11, 2010 3:37 pm
Tweaking my own sliders now.haha. And started a new association with the Minnesota and get T-Mac(my fave!xD), and he scored 23pts, 5assists,5steals on his debut.
