Important Michael Finley stat.....

In the past two seasons, the Pistons are 38-13 when Chauncey Billups scores 20 or more, the fourth-best record for a team with the same 20-point player in that span. Dallas was first, at 47-11 when Michael Finley scored 20 or more

so, is he overrated?

I wouldn't mind seeing Finley getting more opportunities. He's not like certain other shooting gaurds who feel that their are better than their teamates and jack up shots without getting them into the flow of the offense. Finley plays unselfish and plays to win. I can't see him abusing the freedom he would get.. and if steve Nash does decide to leave via free agency, then i'd love to see finely take his game to the next level

Tracy Mcgrady?... Allen Iverson?...etc etc.. you've just described every sg in the league. They ain't there to share the ball.. they get the ball, they put in the basket... shooting guards..

You can still play within the team concept and score. Tracy Mcgrady, AI, those guys are examples of players who force things, but maybe they have a legitimate reason becuase of how sucky their teamates are. Rip Hamilton, Michael finely, they take good, under control shots most of the time and rarely do you see them force things.

add Reggie Miller to that group too. Is Finley the only elite SG that plays within the context of the game? I guess with guys like Nowitzki and Nash around him he doesn't really have to force stuff, he just lets the game come to him. Finley should get more credit. He's the perfect team player
