Hey all,
I just wan't to know if when you watch game reel or signature highlights video the game is stuttering for you to?
Sat Oct 09, 2010 11:35 am
Thank you im glad someone else is having this problem. I already reinstalled the game twice and it only does it at the very end of the game wrapup.
Its annoying me because I want to frap those parts of the game but cant do it with all the stuttering.
My rig is a beast too on a nvidia GTX 460 overclocked. Im wondering if it is a driver issue.
Sat Oct 09, 2010 6:48 pm
Maybe a Bug? Oh and I also have some menu lag, but other than that the game runs perfectly smooth...
Sat Oct 09, 2010 11:29 pm
Man I have no idea but its really really annoying me big time...
Sun Oct 10, 2010 12:52 am
DOES ANYONE have a fix for this????
Sun Oct 10, 2010 1:43 am
Does anyone else have this problem? Eaven if you don't have it please just write that you don't have it so that I will know that its just something at my PC...
Sun Oct 10, 2010 4:39 am
I have this issue during manual replays, edit player, rarely during gameplay, main menu...it's annoying! Had no issues with 2k10 smooth as butter but this is a different story.
Sun Oct 10, 2010 5:19 am
You think it has anything to do with keeping everything on super high graphics? Maybe If I tone it down? I dunno
Sun Oct 10, 2010 7:06 am
I don't have the problem try changing some of your config settings I did and I'm getting smooth gameplay no hiccups or lag spikes.
Sun Oct 10, 2010 7:17 am
The hiccups is not during gameplay its AFTER the game has been completed under the game wrapup where u can choose signature highlights player of the game etc. Its when those play it stutters
Sun Oct 10, 2010 7:57 am
I had something like that happen to me in 2K10 but it was the courts/players out of sync for the game highlights not sure if its same issue.
Sun Oct 10, 2010 8:50 am
Na not exactly, I remember that issue and that was a gameplay issue in 2k10
Sun Oct 10, 2010 3:23 pm
Maybe its the USB keyboard?
Sun Oct 10, 2010 3:40 pm
Yea I unpluged it and there is no more lag, it kinda sucks thou, that I will have to do it all the time...
Sun Oct 10, 2010 5:58 pm
That's worth noting then, it might be something they can patch.
Sun Oct 10, 2010 7:42 pm
Yea I hope so
Thu Oct 14, 2010 9:51 pm
Same here
Replays are unwatchable, stuttering every 2 seconds. Game is smooth, highlights in the game too, but the same highligts in the end of the game menu stuttering.
This is weird.

Thank you ,kadras, I just wish more people were experiencing this and working to figure out the problem. I cant frap my amazing replays or end game signature highlights cause of this its very very disappointing.
Sat Oct 16, 2010 6:35 pm
Ok i have solution

It's funny, it's not perfect, but it's works for me.
try unplugging your keyboard and/or setting your "CLOTH LOGICAL THREAD" lines in your cfg. file to
CLOTH_LOGICAL_THREAD_0 = 10
CLOTH_LOGICAL_THREAD_1 = 9
CLOTH_LOGICAL_THREAD_2 = 8
CLOTH_LOGICAL_THREAD_3 = 7
same unplugging your keyboard should help
Thu Oct 21, 2010 7:40 am
Unplugging your keyboard... are you serious? There is a lot of people on this board and only a few of us have this problem? How can this be? I doubt everyone's disconnecting their keyboards..
No one knows a cold hearted solution? I am in shock of this. I have a crazy powerful system this should not be happening. Maybe its a gpu driver issue.
Thanks tho for the info mkadras

As I said before, its a problem with USB keyboards... That's it, no other solution...

Hey guys,
I dont have this problem at all. It most likely sounds like a hardware combination if only a few people are having it. Perhaps there is some commonality in hardware of those that are having this issue.
I run the game in 1920x1080 on my PC with every setting at maximum. The benchmark test runs averages around 110fps, gameplay is very smooth, and I have no issues with the signature highlights or the Player of the Game highlights at the end of a game.
I'd suggest those people who have the issue compare hardware specs and see if there is anything common.
My specs are:
Intel Core i7 950
Windows 7 x64 Ultimate
12GB DDR3 RAM
2 x ATi HD5850 Overclocked in CrossFire
I am just glad that in Windows 7 I finally get 5.1 surround sound from NBA 2k11. 2K10 only gave stereo, so THANK YOU 2K!!!!

Is anyone still having stuttering issues? I've tried unplugging my USB keyboard, doesn't change anything. The game runs perfectly fine, it's only during Signature Highlights at the end of the game or when I go into replay mode manually that the game stutters every second or so. Also tried uninstalling my anti-virus, uninstalling/reinstalling the entire game and moving it to a different drive, defragmenting my drives, messing with the config file settings, removing all mods, nothing has worked so far. All of my drivers are up to date.
Win7 64
Gigabyte EX58-DS4
i7 920
6GB G.Skill DDR3
HD 5770
Everything running @ stock speeds.

Guess there's nothing left to try other than to wait for the patch...
I'm desperate here.

No stuttering for me
old PC
Vista 64 + e8400@3.6Ghz/4Gb RAM/GTX 260 (quite low spec but no problems)
new PC
Win7 64 + i7 950@3.7Ghz/6Gb RAM/GTX 570 (had the GTX 260 on this setup till last week..no problems too)
PS..I didnt realize how much CPU hungry this game was, going from an e8400 to a Core i7 yielded quite surprising results

even before upgrading, ive been running this game at the highest settings and no issues at all
