Asian Sensation the second.
Possible for Ha to be another Yao Ming? He's korean...but you think it's true?
He's still growing too...and he's like what...18, he'll be 19 this April.

oh him the Ha Sijen whatever ESPN did a little thing on him last year around NBA draft time they said that he can handle the ball very good but from the propects it looks like hes not even going latto hes around with Darius Rice in the sleeper picks
Sun Feb 29, 2004 2:58 pm
*sigh* I dont believe in the positioning too much.
Last year, a draft site made a mock draft, they had Lampe up at pick 11, at some point, he was higher...
Lampe dropped till the 30th pick.
Some sites just ramble on about "he's gonna be pick number # or he's gonna be pick number #".
Frankly, I'll just wait till the actual draft, I don't like these mock drafts.
Btw, the site I'm talking about is NBADraft.net, if you hadn't figured this out by now.

dude has huge hands! Another interesting prospect! Hopefully whoever drafts him gets him on a work out routine to work and strenghten the problem areas mentioned in the article. And if he he puts on some muslce (though he is 300 pounds) and gets up his strengh and learns some good positioning techniques, with those big hands he would probably be hard to stop down low once the ball's thrown to him.
Imagine the first time he plays Yao Ming... that will be huge. Could also be the worst display of trash talking ever!

your right about those hands those are some big hands for a 18 year old and still growing

the reason why Lampe was draft 30 was because he had a problem with his contract and team was too worried to pick him on the 1st round on a guarrented contract the only team on the 1st round that was going to pick him was Detriot because they had 2 draft rounders (they picked Carlos Defino (like a Ginobili) instead of him) and people was 100% going to pick him up on the 2nd round
Sun Feb 29, 2004 3:15 pm
Yesh, I know about the contract problems, but that's what I mean...they don't take these things into account. Lampe was one example...I could give many more, but they've changed their 2003 Mock draft according to the Actual draft, this way they look less stupid. I remember, Perkins was also very high, the next Shaq apparently. I was quite hyped up...but alas, he flunked...went low.
Point is, they have no clue where to put the players, mock drafts are to be mocked.

Thats why they're mock drafts, they are just predictions.
I mean everyone criticized GS for picking up Arenas, the scouts were saying he can't pass, he doesn't have a real position, and look where he is now.

Yeah he is with Washington, not Golden State lol
This is good to see anther big man coming in, the league is getting short on big men. In the mid 90s you had so many good centers but now a days this game is being taken over by the 2-guard ( kobe, t-mac, iverson, etc.)
Sun Feb 29, 2004 6:53 pm
I meant when he got drafted, not right now....obviously I know he's in Washington since I said once that him and Kwame and basically the only reason I like the Wizards.
You can also kinda see his jersey in my sig, its peeping out a little.

I'm getting sick from those tall asian guys.

You wish you were that tall??
And Amphatoast, I though you were, wasn't sure though

You're getting sick of all these asian guys?
*sigh* This is just the beginning mate...first it was Europian players...hey we got players like Dirk etc, NBA isn't complaining.
If they realise that asians have potential (to entertain), the NBA won't mind them either.

Didn't mean it this way,I hate them cause if they average like 12 points and 6 rebounds,1 block, the entire asian nation will vote for them to the all-star game!Last year Yao started as a rookie!Would've he made it if he would be russian?Ofcourse not!

if you don't like them, then don't read them, let alone believe what they say lol...
try yourself putting together scouting reports and draft orders for 58+ players
Mon Mar 01, 2004 8:57 am
Thnx for your insightfull post Mr Basketball.
I said I dont like em...did I say they were actual drafts? I said, I'll wait till the actual draft...in other words, I don't pay attention to them.

Perkins was lottery before his senior year but showed up out of shape.
I remember seeing him in the McD's all-star game and I couldn't tell the difference between him and 300-pound James Lang. He looked much slimmer in his Junior photos.
Right before the draft though, he was projecte to only be late-first round, which he was.
Anyways...NBADraft.net has very good reasons for who they pick. They're not always right. Things always seem to get in the way.
Qyntel Woods was supposed to go lottery and was once high as number three, but he was recently incaracerated or something, so teams were a bit iffy on him.
Same goes for Lampe. As good as he might have been, he was no guarantee.
