i'm not sure if this question has been posted before, but, is there any way to use those recently added faces in my association mode? I started association with Warriors and some faces are now updated (Gatling, Marciulionis). That would be very helpful, if anybody could solve this issue for me. Thanks in advance

Hi, I'm new to the whole nba2k10 modding. I have attempted to install this mod with little success. Basically everthing seems jumbled. I see players profile pictures but in game they are the original players. Certain players are on the wrong team. Are there any directions on how to install this? I've copied the save file into the save folder and overwrited the Tff files with the new ones.

I asked the creator on another forum, "I will soon post an update with the new faces. Sadly your association won't update the faces since it uses the main roster as a starting point. But you can always start another one after the updates are released."

I got that 1st, nut then realised I hadn't loaded the 1992 roster.

Just downloaded the new face update, noticed Dee Brown and a few others the faces were still generic, so i changed the 1's to 0's in the editor, then I decided to go back through all the updates to find if any others needed changing. Got all the way to the "Faces and Portraits" folder. Noticed a few PNGXXX.iff files that weren't assigned to any player. PNG014.iff to PNG021.iff, I was curious, since they aren't assigned in the 1992 roster are they assigned in the 92 draft class?

Every face update you download, you have to download with the latest roster or the new faces will remain generic.

I've explained this a million times and some people keep using old versions of the rosters with the new faces...it's not going to work that way. All the new faces are there. I'm not going to explain this again individually to each person that comes up with another "I downloaded the face update and they're not working" message.

Sorry I didn't realise you updated the rosters as well as the face patches. The red "updated" is what catches your eye, then since no other link has updated next to it, its easy to over look that as being an update.

I also posted a picture for reference, would that type of thing help you?

Shall do once I complete them. I wasn't sure if they were useful so I didn't get started on this project until I had confirmation that it would be helpful

i was just wondering. would it be possible to use the same pngXXXX.iff numbers that already are in the roster?

For example, Danny Manning is let's say png0005.iff (it's only an example), so whenever somebody makes an update to Danny Manning which you are going to include in the face update pack, you could just rename that cyberface file to png0005.iff, so everybody who have already started their associations could get correct Danny Manning cyberface appearing without having to start association all over again whenever a pack of 10-15 players is released.

Sadly association mode doesn't update faces because the initial point for them is the roster file...so when you create it the association file that's it, the generic faces you had in that given roster will remain generic, no matter what changes/ updates you make to the roster afterward.

Hey aloncho I have a quick question. Is there anyway you can tell me the shoe_iff number of all the custom shoes that you included for this particular mod? I want to keep all the ones you created and then add to it by overwritting the default 2k10 shoes and replacing them with other custom shoes that I download. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks man.

I honestly don't know, I downloaded them and put them in the patch. Shoes are kinda hard to figure since they are numbered in different intervals and sometimes some files in those intervals don't show ingame So I honestly don't know about that one Hawks Phan.
